Amazing Employees Friday July 17th, I discovered the brake box was not working in my F-150, which meant the horse trailer brakes were not working either. I had plans to Friday July 17th, I discovered the brake box was not working in my F-150, which meant the horse trailer brakes were not working either. I had plans to trailer a horse down to Kentucky on Monday afternoon and needed things fixed asap. I brought the truck into Varsity on Saturday morning and was able to speak with Lance Maze about the electrical issues. He found the problem quickly and advised me to call another shop, thinking they could fix it faster. The other shop didn't have the capacity so Monday morning I went back to Varsity. Lance and his team spent hours fixing my truck and re-wiring everything despite their full schedules, and did everything they could to get me on the road. I am so appreciative of their hard work and dedication to their jobs. Had I gone somewhere else, the job never would have been finished so quickly, and certainly not properly if it was. I was able to get the horse down to Kentucky and bring another horse back, and the trailer brakes worked perfectly the entire time. I work for Ford as an engineer, but haven't spent much time at the dealerships yet. I was amazed by the friendliness and selflessness of the employees there. I am proud to work for a company that hires great people not only in the office, but in their factories and dealerships as well! More
Unfortunately had to bring my new 2020 Explorer in for service already. The woman in charge of scheduling could not get me in for almost two weeks. As the car is brand new, that was totally unacceptable t service already. The woman in charge of scheduling could not get me in for almost two weeks. As the car is brand new, that was totally unacceptable to me. She transferred me to a service advisor who worked some magic and got me in that same day. I was given a loaner car and my Explorer was fixed less than two days later. While I was not so impressed with the scheduling manager, I was SO impressed with my service advisor. He was very kind, very patient with all of my questions and anxieties and most importantly very knowledgeable of Ford and my vehicle. Thank you for a great experience, Jon! More

LESS THAN TRUTHFUL SCHEDULING AND PROGRESS VARSITY FORD SERVICE ON 11/04/2019 I TOOK MY 2008 FORD F350 SUPER DUTY TURBO DIESEL IN FOR REPAIR BECAUSE THE WRENCH SYMBOL CAME ON. I VARSITY FORD SERVICE ON 11/04/2019 I TOOK MY 2008 FORD F350 SUPER DUTY TURBO DIESEL IN FOR REPAIR BECAUSE THE WRENCH SYMBOL CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR FACILITY THAT I HAVE DEALT WITH FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE MUCH FAITH IN. THE DIAGNOSIS CAME BACK AS A BAD HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND MAYBE I SHOULD CONSIDER TRADING THE TRUCK IN. I LIKE THE TRUCK AND AUTHORIZED THE REPAIR. ABOUT 11/15/2019 WHEN THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETE THERE WAS STILL A PROBLEM WHICH AFTER MUCH TESTING, AT FORD TECH REQUEST, IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE NEWLY INSTALLED FORD HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WAS BAD AND HAD CONTAMINATED THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. VARSITY FORD WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE DEFECTIVE FORD HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP.AND WE WERE TOLD THAT THE NEW HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER THE REST OF THE NEWLY INSTALLED FUEL SYSTEM WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNLESS A FORD FACILITY DID THE REPAIR. WE WERE THEN TOLD BY VARSITY FORD SERVICE THAT THEY COULD NOT GET THE TRUCK INTO THE SERVICE FACILITY UNTIL 12/02/2019. OTHER FORD DEALERS IN THE AREA WERE CONTACTED, BUT THE OTHER FORD DEALERS DID NOT WANT TO GET INVOLVED AND TOLD US TO GO BACK TO VARSITY FORD. THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP TOOK OUR TRUCK OVER TO VARSITY FORD SERVICE ON SUNDAY 12/01/2019 SO IT WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO THE VARSITY FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 12/02/2019 A HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP THAT WAS SOLD BY VARSITY FORD PARTS AND INSTALLED BY OUR INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP WAS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE . WE WERE TOLD TO BRING TRUCK IN TO VARSITY FORD SERVICE ON 12/02/2019, AND IF IT WAS A BAD HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP IT WOULD BE COVERED UNDER FORD WARRANTY ALONG WITH ALL OF THE RELATED PARTS OF THE FUEL SYSTEM THAT HAD BEEN CONTAMINATED BY THE FAILURE OF THE NEW HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. ON MY FIRST PHONE CALL TO VARSITY FORD SERVICE ON 12/02/2019 I WAS TOLD MY TRUCK WOULD NOT BE LOOKED AT UNTIL WEDNESDAY 12/04/2019. I THEN CONTACTED THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AN ASKED THEM TO CONTACT VARSITY FORD SERVICE ABOUT THE REPAIR DELAY. ON FRIDAY 12/6/2019 I DROVE TO VARSITY FORD SERVICE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE WAITING FOR AN OPEN HOIST ( THEY HAVE 40 BAYS). MY TRUCK WAS STILL OUT IN THE PARKING LOT. I THEN WENT TO THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AND ASKED WHAT THE DELAY WAS . THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD CONTACTED VARSITY FORD SERVICE AND THEY WERE TOLD THAT OUR TRUCK WAS BEING LOOKED AT AND DIAGNOSED. HOWEVER MY WIFE AND I HAD JUST COME FROM VARSITY FORD AND MY TRUCK WAS STILL IN THE PARKING LOT. I TOLD THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP OF MY TRIP TO VARSITY FORD SERVICE AND WHAT I SAW AND WHAT I WAS TOLD. MONDAY 12/09/2012 VARSITY FORD SERVICE CONFIRMED THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WAS INDEED BAD AND REPAIR WOULD BEGAN AND TAKE ABOUT 5 TO 6 DAYS. TUESDAY 12/17/2019 I CONTACTED VARSITY FORD SERVICE AND I WAS TOLD THE REPAIR WAS STILL UNDER WAY AND THE CAB WAS STILL OFF THE TRUCK AND IT WOULD BE A COUPLE OF MORE DAYS. IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT WARRANTY WORK AT VARSITY FORD IS OF LITTLE OR NO IMPORTANCE. AND A STRAIGHT ANSWER IS BEYOND THIER ABILTY. More
