Problem with Used Car Manager **REVISED** After leaving this review I had another opportunity to speak twice (once via text and once via phone) with Jeff Canever. I believe that he and Matt Stevens agreed that my family should have been treated better throughout this transaction. Am I satisfied with the outcome? No - the truck was, apparently, sold out from under us after all. However, I did have the opportunity to have a positive conversation with dealership management (Jeff Canever) about how they might avoid situations like this in the future. Time will tell if they are able to help us locate a vehicle for our son, and if we will do business with them in the future - we live 60+ miles away. I believe that Jeff is trying to do things the way they should be done, the way his grandfather would have done them. I think that Dale Rife is a good salesman who was trying to do something to help us out and sell a truck. I don't have much confidence in Brandon Becker based on our experience with him, or that of others who have had similar experience based on reviews I've seen here and on other forums online. Perhaps with some coaching from Jeff, and an opportunity to learn from some seasoned veterans like Dale, the "manager" can gain from this experience, too. Had a deposit with salesperson on used truck to hold while they fixed numerous moderate/minor issues. This was their offer to keep our interest on a truck we said no to. Salesperson, Dale, was great and we were happy to find a truck pending our final inspection. We had financing at our credit union ready to go, could have closed at full price in 24 hours. Used car mgr canceled deal and refunded deposit without discussing with us, threw salesperson under bus, was rude and outright lied at least 3 times.Complained to GM, Matt S, who didnt respond, but told used car manager about email complaint. Called Matt as well, with no response. We were told by used car mgr, Brandon, that they wouldn't work with us after discussion with him about complaint to GM. When I asked if he was refusing to accept our business he recanted and said truck had been sold, but we were suspicious. Called sales GM Jeff Canever, (whose name is on building) he pretended to care and said he'd do what he could to earn our business back. Said he was going to get to the bottom of the issue right away. Several hours later, and after checking web site and seeing car still listed, placed a call to another salesperson. We were told that car was still available pending some of the repairs we had been waiting on - which Brandon said were done a week ago. Another lie by used car slime mgr. Never heard back from either Matt or Jeff. All we asked was that they honor agreement that their salesperson, Dale, offered us - to hold truck for us until repairs were complete, and that they clean the interior before we made a final decision. We honored our part by giving them a deposit and being available and ready to inspect and close on the truck. They lost full price offer, and future business. Jeff Canever told me his grandfather started his dealership on the motto that if you make a friend you have a customer for life. I wonder what his grandfather would say about this? More
Brought truck in 4 times for same thing My new truck had a clink in the steering brought it in they said nothing was wrong...2nd time they said they fixed it but when I got my truck back it My new truck had a clink in the steering brought it in they said nothing was wrong...2nd time they said they fixed it but when I got my truck back it was worse and the check engine light was on...i talked to the service manager he was nice and said they'd take care of it and they were really sorry...when I brought it back they fixed the check engine light but not the original problem which was the clunk...4th time they replaced a steering shaft with a updated one but It didn't fix the problem still exactly jow it was..i called and was told to leave a message with the service manager so I did and now it's been two days and I've heard nothing back yet More
worst service ever. would give negative stars if I could Took my car in to get Trans work done. When i got it back It started making GRINDING noises that wasn't there before. Took it back and wanted to know what it was, they called and made up a story about how it was sloshing noise from the Trans fluid. Went to go drive it with Steve Clement the "service manger", heard the grinding noise right out of the parking lot. 6 weeks later we go in there to get an update because we got no phone call. Was told that the Trans technician was backed up so we waited patiently. We had been told it was done for 4 weeks. Got told by the writer that they drained some Trans fluid out. They couldn't find my keys or the repair order. Once they found the keys we test drove it and noise was gone, got told to talk to Steve Clement "the service manger". He didn't know what was going on, told us it was nothing that they did and there's nothing they could do it just makes that noise when you accelerate harder. Then told us it wasn't on them to call us when the car was ready. Told us to have a nice day and walked away. We have a gm car and a gm truck that I need work done on, but why would we go back. Found out Steve Clement is not the manager but an assistant. More
