On July 31st, 2025, I had gone to Victory Toyota of Marietta Ohio to look at a New Toyota Tacoma I had seen on their website. After arriving, a Salesman immediately came out and asked if I would be int Marietta Ohio to look at a New Toyota Tacoma I had seen on their website. After arriving, a Salesman immediately came out and asked if I would be interested in looking at a New 2024 Toyota Tacoma (Leftover), in which they had four to choose from. He stated I would save thousands compared to purchasing a 2025 or 2026 Model. After looking over the 24 Models, he asked if I would be interested in seeing what kind of deal they had to offer. I agreed, and I chose the one that I was interested in. After going to the salesman's desk, an individual came in from another building who was going to do the appraisal on my trade, a 2021 Ford F-150 Sport 4x4, in very good condition with 50,842 miles and a clear title. The salesman stated it's not often we get a trade that needs absolutely nothing done to it. After sitting there for a while, the person doing the appraisal came back with a Carfax Value Offer, and it was for $24,870.00. This person stated that my Ford Truck wasn't worth that much, because if I haven't noticed, the parking lot was full of them, and they just don't sell. Soon thereafter, I was walked over to another building owned by the dealership and a person with a Megaphone was loudly speaking and said "Thank You" for the purchase of your New 2024 Toyota Tacoma. Now my issues with the dealership: After arriving home, I was able to go over the multiple pages of the Sales Contract more thoroughly and this is what I found: 1) The Carfax Value Report in which the appraiser had given me increased the mileage of my trade from 50,842 to 65,728, and derated the condition from very good to fair. (Lowered the Value of my trade.) 2) The dealership deducted -$3,000 off for a "Reconditioning Fee." 3) The dealership added on every possible "Service Plan they had, such as: * Toyota Motor Svcs. "Mechanical Breakdown" for the sum of $5,500.00 * Cardoc Connect $1295.00 * Appearance Platinum $1195.00 * After Markets $2390.00 * Maintenance Service Contract $1695.00 Also, I began to look over the New 2024 Tacoma that I had just purchased. There was paint damage on the driver's side door, the hood, and rear passenger side door. It looks like they used a wire brush to wash it. My guess is they used a brush to removed snow and ice, as well as washing it. (For a New Truck, it looks really bad.) I have made multiple attempts to contact them via: Phone, Text, Emails, and a Certified Letter in which they had received and signed for on August 28th, 2025, at 10:59 am by the General Manager. To date, I have heard absolutely nothing from them. They have multiple means of contacting me, so they have no excuse not to do so. I had sent them a copy of the Carfax Value Report given to me by the appraiser with the falsified mileage, and no response. I have made repeated requests in writing to the Finance manager that any and all "Service Plans" and others be terminated immediately and be reapplied back to my loan with Toyota Financial, as well as wanting the paint damage to be corrected, if not, I want the truck to be replaced. I guess once you sign on the dotted line, they don't care if you come back or not. I don't recommend them to anyone. Furthermore, approximately two days later, my 2021 Ford F-150 XLT Sport was on their website for $37,000.00. Unbelievable, especially after being told it wasn't worth much. More
Every one at this dealership was super friendly, from the sales manager to the salesmen. I was absolutely pushed into a deal with a vehicle that was too expensive and not what I needed nor was looking for! I was rushed through signing papers not understanding the final numbers ($) for this con was too expensive and not what I needed nor was looking for! I was rushed through signing papers not understanding the final numbers ($) for this contract of this vehicle and was absolutely mislead on the cost to me until I had already signed many papers including the agreement to surrender my 2016 4Runner, and then I felt it too late. I explained the next day to the salesman if I could have my 2016 4Runner back and give them back this 2025 4run er because I had misunderstood and had been mislead the figures of the final cost of the deal i thought we had made but was told no. It saddens me that us elderly people are treated this way! More
