The sales team was responsive to my offer and actually worked well with me since I was out of state. It seemed like they were more interested in giving me what I needed by locking in the deal, before I spent 6 hours driving there, instead of just getting me in the door like most other online inquiries I made. I walked in already knowing what I was going to pay. I think I could have worked the price down a little bit lower, even though I’m pretty sure I got a great deal, but sometimes, when youre working with someone that makes you feel comfortable through transparency, you’ll spend a little more based on the quality of service you receive. More

I will accept part of the problem because after taking hours to decide which car and finally make the deal there was not time to go over the features on the car. I wanted to go have dinner and go home to asheville. My truly only complaint is the car was not detailed to my standard which is pretty tough. To compensate the sales manager offered a free oil change on my next service. My compliments to an excellent sales person on Chris I give him 5 stars!! More

However, a poor business practice, dubious policies and unethical behavior caused us to walk from the dealership. My wife and I traveled 1 1/2 hours to look at a car. The young man who helped us had very little expertise in answering basic questions: fuel economy differences, maintenance expectations and price differences for gas vs diesel. He provided erroneous information about financing offers through VE. We expressed interest, but needed to clarify information that our sales rep Jordan was unclear on or simply did not know. After deciding to purchase the car, we called back and started the purchase process, to include the credit process with VW. After hitting our credit, which was approved, we were told the car was sold to another customer who had walked in. Per my follow-up conversation with the sales manager on duty, this customer came in AFTER our paperwork was started. No other explanation provided and no recourse available for the hit on our credit. While the inventory is OK and the prices OK, if the ethics are like this during the sale, one can only expect worse support, service and honesty after the sale. In short, I am hard pressed to find any reason to do business with Vic Bailey. I spoke with 5 other dealerships who unanimously stated the car should have been considered sold the moment a credit application was started. You might save a little up front, but they will stick it to you at the first opportunity to make a buck. More
