Sonny did a fantastic job of explaining all of the car features - a tough job since there are so many! He also was super engaged in getting all of my questions answered and in making sure the car was perfect when it came time for me to sign the papers. Unlike what I’ve experienced with my prior few car buying efforts, Principle didn’t play any of the “dealer games” like fees for dealer prep, or nitrogen in the tires or any of that, and, while I was informed that there were additional warranties I could buy, there was never any pressure to buy anything. They’ve decided to be honest and straightforward as a dealership, and I genuinely appreciate that - I feel like I got a luxury buying experience for a luxury car. More
I called yesterday to see when they could get my Volvo in for AC work. They took my car in same day and sent me off of my way in a brand new Volvo. The communication throughout my cars stay was amazing! Always love the video to show what they do. Love the ease of getting an appointment and the staff is beyond words. They are fair and honest! I received my car back the next day…earlier than expected! Thank you for your service. S. Benson More

But, thank god my husband and I did our own full visual inspection because they tried to get away with selling me the car with: a chip in the windshield, dirty interior, missing tray insert on one of the interior spots, a tire that had been patched, the tires were bald, and the lift gate for the trunk was damaged. The reason I say “don’t leave the lot” is because even if you have it all in writing that these things will be fixed, they will still swindle you. I brought my car back in (1.5hrs to San Antonio) for all of these issues to be fixed and only the tires were replaced. Our agreement was that I would have my car serviced to fix all of the issues. On top of that, they left me with an empty gas tank which I was told they would fill “for my trouble”. Since then, the GM told us an amount they would send via check to “help out”. That was almost 2 months ago and he has dodged emails and phone calls ever since. The windshield replacement (which should have been covered by them because they tried to sell me the car WITH A CHIP IN THE WINDSHIELD) is costing almost $2k. So, don’t leave the lot. They will never own up to their promises and treat their customers terribly. Now, there was ONE good part about Principle Volvo San Antonio and that was Kris M, our sales person. He made the experience enjoyable, worked with me virtually to discuss payments and in person the next day to finish the process. He spent time showing me all the fun features of my car, getting me set up with the app and ensuring he “comes with the car” if I had any questions after I left the dealership. He’s the best salesperson they have and I hope he’s praised for the wonderful job he does. More
This dealership truly stands by their word. They go above and beyond for me and I’m so thankful. Always professional and providing that white glove customer service. They go above and beyond for me and I’m so thankful. Always professional and providing that white glove customer service. More
This is a hard question to answer- the dealership was hood and very attentive. My service rep was so incredibly nice and very responsive - however I brought my car in because I believe there is something hood and very attentive. My service rep was so incredibly nice and very responsive - however I brought my car in because I believe there is something wrong with my collision avoidance when my cruise control is on- they checked it out and said it’s fine. I got my car back and sure enough the exact same thing is happening - the car will slow down even when the person is not in my lane and when you are going 60+ it’s a very frightening thing especially if there is someone behind me. Not feeling safe in my $60k brand new vehicle is not an option for me. I definitely need this corrected. More
Have had nothing but problems with this service center since we started using them in 2019. Over the last 12 months it's been a comedy of errors or miscommunication with their Service department. Gettin since we started using them in 2019. Over the last 12 months it's been a comedy of errors or miscommunication with their Service department. Getting the Service Manager & the Sales Manager involved has not done anything to improve the situation. The last time I was in there (around 4-5 weeks ago - story is too long to type exactly what all was said & (not) done but Mr barton made assurances to me verbally & via email, the Service Center said those assurances were in place, yet the Service Center denied them when I showed up for my Appointment), the Service Manager said he would would get some information from his Tech on Monday & call me back. He never did. I went in to purchase an after market warranty before our MFG warranty expired & explained my issues to the young lady dealing with the warranty papers. She said she would look into it since Mr. Barton was off that day. Heard back from the Service Mgr after that and asked him why he never followed up with me & again said he'd look into it but again no follow up since & though I have received some automated texts from "Mr Barton", he has never contacted me since I told him we were not looking to purchase a new vehicle, we just wanted out old one repaired. I have a lot of military friends who have purchased new Volvo's direct from Sweden & have returned to San Antonio area with their cars. This is the only dealership in the SA area & I have yet to hear anything good about this dealership. My problem has been so minor (yet annoying), yet despite showing them videos or what it's doing, they can't seem to come up with a simple quick fix. The communication between the Service associates & their management is atrocious. Since we moved back to Texas in summer of 2019, I have dealt with seven different vehicles & 3 other dealerships - none of them were less than 4 stars. Don't know why this one is so consistently disappointing. I guess when you are the only one in town, you can get away with being "mediocre". More
Clean, fast, and efficient. Very good communication. Loved the way we could see what exactly the mechanics were working on without being there. Very good communication. Loved the way we could see what exactly the mechanics were working on without being there. More
Going to start with the negative because I want to prioritize that because the absolute worse treatment I have ever gotten. Service department manager was rude, condescending and down right disrespect prioritize that because the absolute worse treatment I have ever gotten. Service department manager was rude, condescending and down right disrespectful and degrading. To have the audacity to demand that I look at him when he spoke to me after he had not even greeted me or addressed me when I was 1 foot away from him and when he was discussing my auto with service agent. I had to actually say hello to him to get his attention and to explain the situation which they did not have all the facts about and all the time I spoke to him he kept staring at the computer and addressing the service agent and not myself. I have never been spoken to in that manner. That service department is wonderful and only works because of the wonderful attitude and respect given by everyone in that department. In the half hour I was there I got to see how rude and dismissive the service department manager treated his employees and how they were even mocking him as he walked away from them. On a better note, but not enough to ever make me give my business to this particular Volvo dealership, the sales agent and sales department manager were wonderful, not their fault but the car I purchased was kinda a lemon. Both of them did everything within their power to help the terrible situation.i hope someone addresses this matter and decides to do more than just write an apology for that particular person. Accountability is a very important part of business. Customer service is everything Respectfully and absolutely outraged More
