I first spoke to Howard over the phone and over email regarding my interest in the XC90. I was not able to make to dealership due several out of town trips. Initially I was intimidated by the entire process from hearing horror stories of dealers taking advantage of customers, especially women. Although Howard was extremely friendly over the phone I still had some reservations, however the moment I met Howard all my worries ceased. I was treated with so much kindness from all the staff at Herb Gordon, Howard was even offer to speak to my father (I was calling him through out the process to get advice, lol). Within one hour I had made very first purchase of a XC90 with all the amenities I was looking for plus more. This is our 3rd volvo. The first we purchased used from VA in 2003. The second we leased from Annapolis from Alan Hannon. Alan was not working at Annapolis and my husband and I were talking to Andy and a lady in his department. They told us they would get back to us the next day, which should have been a Tuesday, with some numbers. We did not here back from them until 4 days later, after calling and calling on a Saturday after hours. In the mean time we decided to look at other dealers and we luckily found Alan again at Herb Gordon. We are very pleased with working with Alan again and Jason too. I had a tremendous experience utilizing the internet first to negotiate a fair price. I then was invited in for a test drive and to work on some of the specifics of the deal. My trade-in was evaluated and I was given an excellent price for fair market value on my 2005 Tahoe and was able to obtain some of the tax breaks available from the stimulus package. I would highly recommend this dealer and this salesperson for anyone looking for a new Volvo.
