The dealer submitted it, for a whole week didn’t have answer. Fine. Then declines it. When we pushed for reconsideration they said it was Volvo USA not them to decide and we could submit directly. So we go through the claim process. Call every few days for an update, a total of 6 more weeks pass and they continue to tell me the decision was in Volvo USA’s hands. When it was formally denied again I called Volvo USA case manager directly, their rep told me goodwill decisions are made entirely at the regional dealer level — and that a Volvo Cars Silver Spring regional manager had already written a note in my file to deny it from day one. They knew the answer was no from week one and let me wait a total of 7 weeks anyway because they couldn’t own up to their own decision. When I finally came to pick up my car, they knowingly drove it on a completely flat tire — destroying it. I have it on video. They showed zero accountability. A known defective part, deliberate misdirection for nearly two months, and property damage on the way out. This dealership failed at every level and had the nerve to blame me for leaving it at the service center during this claim period. The reality is we HAD to, it was deemed undriveable. More
