The sales process was fine enough; they were attentive, answers were quick, and they wanted the deal closed. The moment the paperwork was done and the car was in my name, the attitude flipped. From that point on, every person I dealt with treated customers like an inconvenience. Same script, same indifference, same "not my problem" energy no matter what the issue was. It does not matter if you just bought the car last month or have been coming for years -- you get the same low-effort treatment. Pricing is not competitive. I shopped around before buying and again on service. They are rarely the best number, and once you are in the system they lean hard on the fact that you already bought from them. Do not assume loyalty gets you anything here. Repairs are extremely expensive. If anything is even slightly outside warranty, prepare for a shock. The real problem is the warranty process itself. Getting anything covered is a drawn-out, bureaucratic mess. They will not simply diagnose and submit a claim. Instead you wait while they arrange for someone from the warranty company to physically come out and inspect the car. That inspection process can stretch on for days or longer, your car sits, and you are stuck. It is not a smooth or customer-friendly experience -- it is a hassle that feels designed to wear you down. Loaners are almost nonexistent. Multiple times I needed a car while mine was in for work and was told they "didn't have any available." Plan on finding your own transportation or sitting without a vehicle. That alone makes dealing with them far more painful than it should be. If you are thinking about buying here, shop other dealers first for both price and post-sale reputation. If you do buy, get the longest warranty you can and hope you never have to use it, because the experience of getting warranty work done is miserable and the out-of-pocket costs are high. Once the sale is complete, the level of care drops sharply. That is the consistent pattern. More
We had an appointment to come in and buy a car, but our salesperson Trey sold it an hour before. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication. Horrible way to conduct yourself i salesperson Trey sold it an hour before. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication. Horrible way to conduct yourself in business. I would not recommend to anyone wasting your time and money with Trey unless your type is rude and ignorant. More
This dealer bought the car it was used. We didn't test drive to see if we liked it. And they bought a car. The next day, the wife went to work, she became ill with an allergy. And no one told us about it. We asked the dealer to pick up the car, he refused. So expect to be scammed at the Volvo dealership. More
DO NOT USE FOR MAINTENANCE OR SERVICE. If you plan to buy a Volvo, know that you can not rely on their maintenance or service department. DO NOT BUY A Volvo if you can't manage a trip to the next closest Vol a Volvo, know that you can not rely on their maintenance or service department. DO NOT BUY A Volvo if you can't manage a trip to the next closest Volvo service department. (Closest one to Walnut Creek is in San Leandro). We took our Volvo in for a regular scheduled 30k maintenance and for an entire year it was in and out of their service department with problems stemming from the various work they performed (power steering wasn't working, wheel noise when driving on freeway, oil leak after they replaced a part to fix the wheel that didn't end up fixing the wheel...to name a few). In addition, the seatbelt had a recall on it and when I took it in to get fixed the service manager said there was no fix for it, you just have to ensure every time you buckle it is not hung up on anything. After each visit I ended up having additional problems with the car so I decided to take it to Mckevitt Volvo in San Leandro. Their Service Department ended up fixing at least 5 problems on parts that Volvo of Walnut Creek replaced unnecessarily or incorrectly. They also replaced my seatbelt due to the recall. The drive to San Leandro is not convenient. We will not be buying another Volvo due to no reliable maintenance in our local area of Walnut Creek. The management at Volvo of Walnut Creek is useless, they tell your whatever they need to to get you out their door. More
There was an initial issue with the software, but I was leant a car for a few days and everything was resolved. Greg and Charles went out of their way to resolve the issue quickly and help me set it up. leant a car for a few days and everything was resolved.
