BUYER BEWARE! !! My husband and I just had a horrible experience with West County Volvo. We made a deal with salesman, Jim, on Thursday 12/21. We were intere !! My husband and I just had a horrible experience with West County Volvo. We made a deal with salesman, Jim, on Thursday 12/21. We were interested in an Infiniti they had on their used lot. We are waiting for an insurance settlement for our totaled car. We gave them a $500 cash, good-faith deposit and signed an agreement with them to take possession once the insurance had resolved. We left Jim last Thursday when they were closing and he told us to "keep in touch with the progress." This afternoon my husband reached out to Jim as we promised. We had a minor glitch with the title of our totaled car and wanted to let them know it may be a bit longer than we had originally anticipated. (Keep in mind it has only been 5 business days since we made our "deal" and our StateFarm office was closed 2 of those days due to the holiday.) We were then told that if we didn't just get a loan and pick up the car tomorrow, they would refund us our deposit and sell it to someone else! WHAT IS THE POINT OF A CONTRACT if they can just do whatever the xxxx they want? We signed a "hold to purchase" agreement with them and gave them money in good faith that we would uphold our end of the deal and they would uphold their end! We decided to go up to the dealership to speak with them in person. The Sales Manager came in with a total attitude from the start and we were verbally assaulted by him when we tried to question him about contract and deposit. We asked to see the fine print on our signed contract that stated they could just refund our money and sell the car for any reason at any time. Sadly, he was yelling at us and told us "I don't care what it says, this is MY dealership, and I can do whatever I want." We were hollered at in front of other customers in the middle of the showroom and he told us "I AM DONE WITH YOU" and he did not want to honor our deal with us anymore and returned our deposit. I will be contacting the BBB and the MO AG on this issue. Please use extreme caution when interested in any vehicle they have to sell. The sales manager was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and EXREMELY RUDE. They don't deserve any of your hard-earned money or your business! Thank you for your time in reading my review. More
