The service representatives themselves were great, the problem I had is that the service department recommended almost $5,000 in repairs on my 2019 car with only 42,000 miles. The repairs included $1,200 for new shocks, which upon taking my car somewhere else to be replaced, they said they did NOT need replaced. There was a $370 charge to upgrade the cars software, which is odd because if Volvo upgraded their software, shouldn't they also upgrade the software in their cars as well? (Does Apple charge you for their software updates??) The other charges were grossly marked-up ($900 to replace a $300 battery, which now I question whether I need a new battery at all). It was very disappointing to feel that my annual maintenance appointment turned into an opportunity for Volvo to create reasons to make money off of me. More
