Went to the dealer looking for an affordable car with good mileage and still somewhat sporty. I chose the Jetta TDI. great mileage and still very fun to drive. I called around to find out the prices to see what I should try and work with. The cheapest I found for the same exact vehicle was 23300. I told the sales person that I would like to buy from them and asked if they could beat the price. He assured me multiple times that they would. After 3 days of waiting on financing it came to negotiate price. They opened with 23995, not the 23300 I wanted. I made an offer of 23000 and then was told that they couldn't do any better then 23850. When I said I could just go to the other dealer the sales person said" how do you know the vehicle is still there, this one is right here" I said I couldnt afford that price and had to leave. On my way out I said to the sales person to call me if they can come down on price. The sales manager behind him then said with a smart attitude " NO you call US" so I walked out and got the exact car I wanted for 23000. I highly recommend never using this dealer, they strung out the process and lied through their teeth multiple times. I even asked earlier in the process if there was any other cars like it but in a different color, they insisted not one in the state and that if I found one that the other dealer was lying.
