I brought my Santa Fe in for recall work and alignment. They didn’t fix my alignment and told me I had to spend $3000 plus to fix the rack and pinion. I took it to Heartland and they realigned it for $60 They didn’t fix my alignment and told me I had to spend $3000 plus to fix the rack and pinion. The oil plug was not tightened and oil was leaking out. I missed a very important appointment because my car could not be driven. I have lost all faith in work done at the dealer. The customer service throughout the repair was great. The issue I had was with the finished product after the repair. When I went to pick up the car after its service, it was dead. As I was sitting letting the car run and looking over the paper work, I noticed that the mileage in was 69,031, and the recorded mileage out was 69,039, but the odometer only read 69,033. In other words, the max it was driven to test drive after having an engine replaced was 2 miles. Drove it 1 mile down the road and heard load scrapping sounds coming from the front of the car. Pulled over and found that two screws were missing that hold the plastic under the engine bay area up causing it to flop against the road while driving. I had to wedge it up to make sure not to have it scrap on the road anymore. Instead of driving it back to the dealership and have to go through the rigmarole of having them fix that for a couple hours, I went home and took care of it myself. More
