2017 Chevrolet Equinox VIN: 2GNALBEK1H1523469 80,000 miles always serviced, I have proof Purchased 10/26/2016 New Stillwater Motors 5900 Stillwater Blvd. North P.O. Box 337 Stillwater, MN 55082 12/16/2022 I had the vehicle serviced @ Walser Polar Chevrolet White Bear Lake, MN just like I have since I purchased it new. Oil & Transmission fluid changed, new tires, wheel alignment, rear brake pads and rotors, $2,045.00. No mention of a class action lawsuit for Frozen PCV valve, causing the rear main seal to blowout. GM has known about this problem for years and has done nothing to rectify it. I brought my vehicle into Walser Polar Chevrolet for service as always trusting I would leave having a safe ride in the deadly winter weather conditions, that was not the case. They knew there was an Issue with this Make & Model, I should have been notified regarding the freezing of the PCV valve and rear engine seal blowing out. Someone is going to DIE because of this, they will break down in subzero temperatures and freeze to death. 12/24/2022 at 6:45 am on Christmas eve. I had no warning whatsoever there was a problem until the Equinox started to sputter, the engine light came on and a few minutes later the engine shut down. The PCV valve froze causing the rear main seal to blowout, the engine was completely destroyed. $9,700 estimated repair bill. Thank God, I made it to White Bear Ave and a police officer showed up, it was 11 degrees below zero out. AAA had a 299-minute estimated wait. I know of 3 other people this has happened to the last Month and there were 3 others vehicles that weekend on their lot with the same issue, I was told this by management. I sold it to Walser Polar Chevrolet White Bear Lake, MN 12/30/2022 for $4,000.00 that’s all they were willing to offer. After paying $2,045 on 12/16/2022 I ended up with $1,965.00. This car was in great running condition when I brought it in for service, no leaks or indication of a problem other than the maintenance suggested. KBB Trade in for this vehicle is $9,000.00 to $10,000.00, fair market value $12,5000 to$15,000.00. People are being taken advantage of and mislead, they are not disclosing this issue to the vehicle owners, this is absolutely unethical and dishonest on the part of the dealerships and General Motors. If I would have known there was an issue with this Year, Make and Model I would have sold it immediately. I ended up with $1,955.00 for a vehicle I could have traded it for up to $10,000, or sold it for $12,500 to $15,000.00. 1/23/2023, come to find out my old 2017 Equinox is selling at Walser Polar Chevrolet for $14,998. No disclosure on the CARFAX report that the engine was destroyed due to the PCV valve freezing and the rear main engine seal blowing out causing the engine to be destroyed. All other detailed history including damage report when hit is listed. More

Outstanding service!!!! I recently had an intermittent hard to find transmission problem (i.e. hard shift into 2nd gear - Chevy Tahoe) which would only show up when extremely hot. Our usual GM dealer (of hard to find transmission problem (i.e. hard shift into 2nd gear - Chevy Tahoe) which would only show up when extremely hot. Our usual GM dealer (of 30 years) could not diagnose the problem even after three visits. I finally took the truck to Walser. The service writer (Taylor) asked all the right questions to help diagnose and the tech was able to duplicate and fix the problem. Excellent expertise not found in many service departments. The transmission was relatively new so they even fixed the problem under warranty. This is probably the best service department experience I have had in my 30 years of driving GM. Will be going to Walser for service from now on. More

My elderly mother just returned from getting her tires checked due to one tire loosing air. After she left she discovers that the other 3 tires are low in air upon leaving. All this and yet they find the time to check her air filter (which was not asked for) and stated she needed a new one. OK, I understand, but to not take care of the other tires??? Secondly there were bags from Byerly's that were on her floor originally shoved into the glove box. Is there a sensor that was bad? I wonder what they were doing or if they were looking to take something? Completely unacceptable! You should be embarrassed as a manager of this dealership. There was nothing on the receipt for service other than the filter and tire. I am unhappy and feel they took advantage of an elderly female. Stay away! More

I am having the absolute worst experience with Walser Polar Chevrolet. I leased a 2013 Chevy Equinox in 2013 for 3 years and chose to purchase it at the lease end. Turns out that there is a $42M GM Chevy Polar Chevrolet. I leased a 2013 Chevy Equinox in 2013 for 3 years and chose to purchase it at the lease end. Turns out that there is a $42M GM Chevy Equinox Oil Guzzling Class Action Settlement on this year/make of vehicle. In December 2020, my car that has only 90,000 miles on it, just wouldn’t run one day. Turns out that it had a snapped timing chain/blown engine due to this excessive oil consumption problem. There was never any indication that there was a problem. Nothing! Have had my oil changed religiously every 3,000 miles since then at a National retail oil company. I was made fun of for this! GM towed the car to Walser Polar Chevrolet and I have been nothing but pushed around and put off by the dealership and GM. Walser Polar has someone named Keith from the service department who has been rude and is making up stories about how they have nothing to do with this and all records of my three years of service during the lease have been lost due to new ownership of the dealership. I was never then or have since not been notified of this engine issue. The GM of the dealership has been minimally involved and offered no reasonable solution. They refuse to help or do anything about it as they say their hands are tied do to General Motors themselves. The CEO, President, Vice President of General Motors and the owner of Walser Polar Chevrolet are my next step. DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP!! More
