I vowed back in 2023 when I took my Maverick to this dealership for a software update, made an appointment and was planning on waiting then service advisor Tristan told me at least 3 hours. I asked him why I made an appointment and he told me what do you think this is, a doctors office? I took one step back, pointed at my truck and said yes and that is your patient. Went to talk to the service manager, who is still there by the way and realized I was wasting my time. 2 weeks ago I decided to go back and boy was that a mistake. I had done some research on the issue and the first thing I did was ask her (Morgan) if there was a service bulletin out for the CV axles and she said not that I know of and asked her coworker and he looked it up and said no. I trusted them to diagnose and make the warranty repair and asked Morgan to keep me updated on it. No word after 3 days so I called and she told me they think it’s a motor mount. And she said they had 2 techs working on it. I told her I’ve never had a motor mount fail in any vehicle I’ve owned since 1977 but gave them the benefit of the doubt. She said on day 4 Thursday that the parts were ordered and should be in Friday or early Saturday at the latest. I asked her how long they were open on Saturday she said until 6. No update on Friday so I waited until 5:50 on Saturday and called. They closed at 5 not 6 like I was told. Monday morning I drove to the dealer and went in the back of the service department looking for my truck. Didn’t find it! I saw Morgan walking through the service area and said hey Morgan I thought you were going to keep me updated and where is my truck. She said she didn’t have anything to update me on and that is why she didn’t call me. I didn’t mention the lie she told me about being open until 6. She told me that we just got the part in this morning. That was Monday. My truck had been there for 7 days. I asked her if it was going to be worked on now and she told me she was waiting on a lift. I had just come through the service area and there was a lift not being used so she lied to me again. I said get my key and my truck I’m going to another dealership. She was quite upset, red faced and huffy. It took 10 minutes and when she brought me my truck it was covered in sand and dirt. My truck had been sitting outside in a lot for several days, always kept under a carport since I had it. I drove around to the parts department and asked the very helpful guy there when did this part come in and he told me Saturday morning. Before 9 am. She lied to me and said she just got the parts in on Monday morning. Well guess what. I took my truck on the next Monday morning to AutoNation Ford in Arlington Texas and spoke to the best service advisor I’ve ever had. Her name is Amber. Left my truck there. She called me the next day and said it was the front axles and there was a service bulletin out for that. They had the parts in stock and I could pick it up on Wednesday. Not the motor mount like the incompetent employees at Waxahachie Ford told me it was. And she washed my truck for me as well. It starts at the top with the service manager and there’s no way I’m ever going back to that dealership. If you need repairs on your Ford take it to AutoNation Ford in Arlington Texas and see Amber. They have their act together no telling how bad it could have been if I had left it at Waxahachie Ford, It might still be sitting there waiting for another mid diagnose. More
