My first buying experience at West County Honda was great. Before even walking in the door I was greeted by my saleslady Tara. She was very personable and friendly and made the time fly by! When we stepped inside the door at West County Honda, we were met by a personable and kind salesman, Bob Olander. Right away, we felt as if we had walked into a dear friend's home. It was a VERY busy Saturday, but Bob made us feel as if we were his priority. He was also helping another couple of people, but he managed all of us with kindness and grace. He must be very good at juggling xxxxx in the air! Ha! He gave us his attention, showed us the Honda CR-V selection and said to take it out for a test drive. When we returned, he was doing paperwork with another couple who had made their decision. We decided to wait to see if he could be free, but it's been so long since we last bought a car, we forgot how much time it takes to clear the paperwork and talk to people. Bob was very courteous to us, coming over to our table 3 or 4 times to apologize for keeping us. But we were NOT in any way offended... in fact, just the opposite. We had the chance to see a top flight dealership in action! The salespeople all looked to be good friends, not cut-throat competitors with one another(such as at Mungenast Honda where we had been the night before). Bob was patient and kind with the couple at his desk and he was very kind to us. Various salesmen would walk by and smile at us. A small kindness that goes a long way toward impressing people. On Bob's last visit to the table where we sat, we said we would make an appointment to come back to talk to him. We did, and arrived ahead of time. Bob had been trying to call us to say he was free and we could come earlier, and in we walked. The dealership did not have the color of CR-V we wanted, but Bob did not give up on us. He asked if we would take another color and said, "I'll do my very best to make this work for you." We felt like we received a very good deal from Bob. He made us feel like we were special, not just an opportunity to "make a buck" for himself or for the dealership. We cannot say enough nice things about our entire experience with Bob Olander, other members of the support staff, and the dealership in its entirety.
