Got a great deal. During negotiations we got both cars paid off and got my dream car without rolling over a bunch of negative equity like we would have somewhere else. They were quick to answer questions. Very patient with me and helped with cleaning out my old car. They even agreed to let us bring 1 of the trades in on Sunday. Our salesperson was David. More
DON’T just walk away from doing business with this dealership RUN!! I just had the most unprofessional/ Disrespectful experience of my life at Jim Cogdill Ram in Knoxville TN. I am a 100 percent disa dealership RUN!! I just had the most unprofessional/ Disrespectful experience of my life at Jim Cogdill Ram in Knoxville TN. I am a 100 percent disabled Veteran after 25 years of active duty and 5 total years in combat and have never been treated so poorly. If you’re a Veteran, DO NOT do business with Jim Cogdill Chrysler, Jeep Ram which is owned by Lithia. Andrew McCain is that sales manager. I have a 2020 Ram limited that is a lease and stopped by the dealership on 27 Jan 23 to ask when the 2023 Ram Limiteds were being rolled out. First I could not tell the difference between sales associates and the customers, no name plates or dealership shirts etc. I tried to ask the lady at the reception desk for assistance but she was watching something on her phone. the salesman himself wasn’t that bad but instead of answering my question he looked at inventory, after which he stated they had none. That’s great but I was just asking are they even available yet. So he walked over to the sales manager. When he returned he only stated that yes they are trickling out. I asked a couple follow up questions that he couldn’t answer; like how long it would take to order one or do you expect any soon. I was told that the sales manager was too busy for me right now. And wouldn’t answer question. You can imagine my surprise hearing that, especially after buying Ram for years. The sales manager approached and immediately misinterpreted my facial expression of surprise and shock of how unprofessional this dealership has become having been there many times over the years. He immediately tried to make an issue of his interpretation of my mood and made things worse. He could have just made light of many things to include being busy but rather chose purposely to engage and draw me into confrontation. When I stated my disappointment and how surprised I was that they wouldn’t even entertain my questions about a new veh he insisted basically that they didn’t need my business and I could go elsewhere. Now you need to understand that this all started with this guy making assumptions about my facial expressions. I was blown away by how aggressive this sales manager was. He is a fit muscular individual who pressed closer as if to intimidate me more. Again I was floored by the absolute lack of professional conduct. He basically told me to leave and would not allow me any further discussion with any superiors like a GM who I specifically asked for. He was very clearly trying to use his size ext to intimidate me to not pursue this any further. He ushered me to the door, threatened to call the police even though I was staying completely calm. Things never got to a point of improper language but having lived in Knoxville and been to this dealership over and over I was blown away by how unprofessional this sales manager is. I hope that someone addresses this manager within the organization and educates him on customer service. I don’t expect to be coddled or any fake enthusiasm for treatment but I have ALWAYS had professional interactions with parts, service and sales in the past. I would never allow anyone in a senior position to treat a long time Ram customer in such a way. Jim Cogdill Ram should deal with this bully immediately and I encourage anyone considering a new Ram, a dodge Chrysler or Jeep to seriously consider doing business with a dealership that treats its customers with at least some level of respect. I don’t know this sales managers name but he’s early 40’s, bald with a salt and pepper beard who likes to show that he has a strong physique and will not hesitate to close the distance on a customer when he doesn’t like being questioned. Absolutely would NOT recommend! We bought what we thought was a great vehicle. It was supposedly a certified pre owned dodge minivan that still has less than 60k miles on it. We hav We bought what we thought was a great vehicle. It was supposedly a certified pre owned dodge minivan that still has less than 60k miles on it. We have had to put it in there shop FOUR different times. At first it was the motor, that was three times getting it fixed. Now it’s the transmission. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and was on my way home from the doctor and my vehicle just stopped working. We had to call a tow truck, mind you we live over an hour away from Knoxville, and had to have it towed to Jim Cogdill. This was two weeks ago and they still haven’t even looked at the van. I am missing work bc we don’t have a second/spare vehicle and they say they no longer have loaner vehicles, mind you times previously they have given us one no problem. I will never recommend them to anyone and will discourage anyone who is even considering visiting their establishment. More

Jim Cogdill has been a complete nightmare for me, ever since I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2022 Summit Reserve. My Dealer was the worst I have ever dealt with. I ordered my new vehicle and once it arriv since I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2022 Summit Reserve. My Dealer was the worst I have ever dealt with. I ordered my new vehicle and once it arrived, it was dirty on the outside, food crumbs in the center console. No attention to detail, no customer focus. Once driving this new vehicle, I noticed that there was a rattle coming from the passenger side engine compartment. I brought it in to the service team and they were able to address the issue a few days later but upon pulling the vehicle out of the service area, they smashed by bumper and it had to be replaced. Here it is, almost 3 weeks later and I still don't have my vehicle. Whatever you do, don't buy your car from Jim Cogdill, none of these guys care about you after they get their commission. I can't get anyone to return my call to help me get my vehicle back. This is, by far, the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. More
I drove over 100 miles to buy a 2010 Toyota Tundra that they sold me without disclosing that the AC compressor was out and that both front axles were broken, and in unsafe condition (requiring repairs of $ they sold me without disclosing that the AC compressor was out and that both front axles were broken, and in unsafe condition (requiring repairs of $2575.00 after I returned). All they wanted to talk about was their "as is where is" policy, they avoided the public safety issue and then accused me of "threatening" the dealership when I told them I was going to report it. They had changed the tires before I arrived and there is "no way" a competent inspection wouldn't reveal BOTH of these problems. They didn't offer me a dime for reimbursement BUT I'M GLAD TO BE ALIVE. NO DEAL IS WORTH DIEING FOR. This dealership needs to be investigated by the Attorney General's Office. I would give them a ZERO rating if it was possible to do so. More
