I don't know why I've waited so long to let people know about this, I'm sorry to anybody else who has been cheated by this place. This has happened before, and had I known I wouldn't have gone people know about this, I'm sorry to anybody else who has been cheated by this place. This has happened before, and had I known I wouldn't have gone there, my mom forgot to tell me not to take the car there. The guy I met with is a huge schemer, and aside from extending when the car would be ready more than once (including just now, the fourth time in under a week), he completely lied about needing various upgrades. When I responded to his recommended tire, oil and timing belt (among others) change by explaining they had been replaced only a few weeks earlier, he completely shut down, knowing he had been caught in his lie, and sheepishly made a comment about how 'the stickers weren't there', something my normal mechanic (who had fixed that issue himself) disputed as well. My mom called when she got back to find out why her car wasn't ready, and he picked up and when she asked for him and said who she was, he said 'oh he's out to lunch', but my mom recognized his voice, it was definitely him-- he screened us. In the initial report, he straight up added details about things that needed work that I did not say myself. I know I could not have said them because aside from the fact that the problems didn't exist, the car I brought this time was my moms and I wasn't totally sure myself so I couldn't have said anything... The man was going to charge thousands upon thousands of dollars to 'repair' random parts of the car that I luckily know were not broken. I can't say for sure that it was Hector specifically because I know neither what goes on in the back, nor the general inner workings of this place, but all I can say is never use/work/get involved with Toyota Services in Yonkers or possibly more specifically Hector Alvarez, they are dishonest and slick. I went to lease a new Rav4 from Westchester Toyota and had a great experience. My son set up the deal and all the numbers prior to going through the phone and internet but John welcomed me and had everyt had a great experience. David Lee as usual was professional and easy to deal with, and John Spano went over every detail and button in the car and was a pleasure to work with throughout. We love the new style Rav4 and the lease was great. They gave us an XLE AWD for the same payment everyone else was charging for an LE which also was great. This was a great experience and I would recommend anyone I know to Westchester Toyota to work with David Lee and ask for John Spano as their salesperson!
