I am from Cleveland, Ohio. What a brief and terrible experience I had. I am not one to write reviews but this experience has left such a profound impact on me and I am so flabbergasted about my negativ experience I had. I am not one to write reviews but this experience has left such a profound impact on me and I am so flabbergasted about my negative experience that I felt compelled to write this review I had been searching for a 2009 or 2010 Toyota Highlander for a while. Not being able to find one in my area I turned to the internet. This is way out of my comfort zone spending this type of money on a vehicle sight unseen. That being said, there is information I like that will make me as comfortable as possible. Not a lot. Carfax or Auto Chek. Communicating with a salesperson and feeling them out. And that fact I was looking for a pre-owned certified used car. With an optional manufacturer’s extended warranty. In my opinion, not a lot to request I found a 2009 Highlander on the dealers website that was everything I was looking for. I proceeded to contact the dealership and spoke with Rosezetta from the start. And there is where my experience proceeded to go downhill. At first she was accommodating yet somewhat aloof. The more I dealt with her, the more it seemed she was either too busy for me or did not have faith in my interest in this car. I am aware that the staff probably gets an enormous amount of tire kickers over the phone. I’ve been in sales. A good salesman would know how to qualify and weed out the tire kickers from serious inquiries. For a brief moment I was able to speak with David Hsu. Finally. What I thought was a salesman who would work with me. Only later to realize that he was just the internet manager. He agreed to physically look at the car for me to answer some of my questions. He never got back to me. I called back a number of times always speaking with Rosezetta who gathered the info I requested. I always had to wait. Sometimes for hours or a day before she could get approval to forward me the info. She finally emailed me David’s response to my questions. In my opinion a very impersonal approach for a potential sale. I called back a number of times trying to get in touch with Mr. Hsu. Always ending up with Rosezetta. At one time Rosezetta took what appeared to me a very condescending attitude towards my efforts. Even so much as to laugh at me. Expressing to me that David Hsu was very busy and I didn’t get it. And I did say something to her regarding this. Her reply was she was laughing with me, not at me. I have no clue what she was laughing about because I wasn’t laughing at all. For that matter, I was getting extremely frustrated. Still giving everyone the benefit of the doubt because I’m thinking this is such a high volume dealership and everyone is overwhelmed, I persisted with me effort to work out a deal on this car. Rosezetta asked me what I’m offering. I really wanted to just deal with a salesman and get it over with so I can arrange to pick up the car that weekend. Once again, I relaxed and told her what my initial offer was. I hung up and waited. And waited some more. Finally I called back, asked for Rosezetta and was turned over to Jose Gonzales. A used car sales manager. HOORAH!!!!!! A salesman. And a manager at that. We talked and the tone of his voice gave me the feeling that this guyhinks I'm wasting his time. We talked. I told him where I was in pricing with the understanding that I was probably not going to pay for this car what I wanted too when I started my search. I was ready to come up in price. And I mentioned that to Jose. We ended the conversation that he would speak to someone regarding a counter offer and he would get back to me after 2 pm on Thursday when he came to work. At that time, I am getting really uncomfortable with this dealership because of everyone’s attitude. Do I want to deal with a dealership that expresses no time for a serious potential client? I started looking at reviews on line and I’m getting more and more uncomfortable. But I’m still willing to hear what Jose has to say hoping to put my ill feelings aside and just make a deal. I also start looking at other cars at other dealers. Just in case. 3:00 pm comes around. No call. At 5:00 I finally call. His assistant speaks to him and replies to me that Jose will call me back. He has my phone number. He never calls. Next morning I call to talk Jose or Rosezetta. Both are off for the day. After finding this out, somehow I got an email from Rosezetta 10 minutes later specifying that I can deal thru her if I want this car. An email. From an assistant no less. Not a salesperson. In her words……….. I will be your guide for this journey. I am here to assist in making this process easy and seemless. I will be available to answer your questions and help you make the best informed decision for the vehicle you have selected. Please feel free to contact me through e-mail or by phone if you need anything First of all “Seemless” is spelled “Seamless” and if I’m spending $30,000 on a car, I don’t want to communicate via email on my “journey” and I want to talk to a salesperson. That’s when I left a message for the general manager. Who never calls me either. My chance to fly to Yonkers to pick up this car that weekend was now dead. bHere is a person who’s serious about buying a car and they could care less. I should have listened to my gut earlier went elsewhere. But I wanted this car. I was able to find another car that was also exactly what I wanted. That evenin I was able to find another car at another dealer in Albnay, New York. And I am so happy I went to this other dealer. From the moment I started working with them it was a pure joy. They made me feel like I was their most important client. While at the dealership, the general manager and the used car manger both made an effort to meet me. Even the finance manager and I didn’t even finance the car. All the way down to the young man who drive 20 miles one way to pick me up an my hotel. And for this, I will thank the staff from steering me away from my “journey” I was about to take that I now know would have probably been disastrous. More

I came in to the dealership a few days ago and I met a very polite gentleman names Matthew. I needed my vehicle to be serviced. He told me that the car was due for a 30,000 mile service. He proceeded to give me an estimate for the service and it was a little expensive. He gave me all sorts of options and broke every thing down into priorities. In the end I decieded to do the full service because it seemed worth it. He even gave me a discount and I didn't even ask for one. He was very helpful and made me feel very comfortable. He updated me all day long to let me know what was going on with the car and even had it washed for me. I have had bad experiences at dealerships in the past but I will be returning to see Matt in 6 months for my next service!!! More
Prior to making my purchase, I went over in detailed with the dealer (S. Berry) all the requirements I wanted in a car. I told him I wanted the car fully loaded. This included all the media- Satellite radio, the dealer (S. Berry) all the requirements I wanted in a car. I told him I wanted the car fully loaded. This included all the media- Satellite radio, on star, blue tooth, back up mirror when parking, fog lights, navigation, tinted windows, etc. I explained to him how I much I was putting down and what I expected the monthly payment to begin. I test drove the car-- I was quite happy. As a result I wanted to make a deal. Since I had planned to give my car as payment-- I was VERY clear about not putting down any "cash" payment. According to Mr. Berry and the Manager A. Castillo, they explained to me that I needed to put down a 500.00 down payment. I was assured that I will get it back. I was told that my car would be ready in one week. Three weeks past, And I was told to pick up the car at 7pm at night. Prior to signing the papers, Mr. Berry proceeds to tell me that I need to give him money for “fees” -- A statement that was quite shocking because I gave close to 7,000 down payment. When I expressed to Mr. Berry that I was quite clear that I was not putting any money down and that I would like to have my old car back—all of a sudden those “fees” disappeared, however, my 500.00 would be taken. This made me very upset. Mr. Berry then proceeds to tell me that I should be lucky because I didn’t put any money down. Upon inspection of the car, the windows were not tinted, Mats and cargo accessories were not available. And I was told that I was "not suppose to get the "blue tooth" ---- but it's there, There no satellite radio, no on star. I was told that I never requested these features and that if I wanted them I can get them on my own. The day after my purchase I had a scheduled vacation. Mr. Castillo called me (One of the Store managers) and I told him of my concerns. I told him I was not happy with the car and that I wish to return the car and get my old car back. He assured me that when I get back, I will get my accessories the satellite radio will be installed. I also mentioned to him that the doors do not automatically lock. A feature that was present in a older model— Upon my return, Mr. Berry took my car for the window tinting and put in the needed accessories. Mr. Berry assured me the car will be back by 1pm. My car was not returned until 5:30pm-- Not even a phone call for the delay, causing me to miss my class. I was told by Mr. Berry that he was going to work something out and that he will get back to me that evening. Two days past and no one called me. When I called Mr. Castillo, he stated that I can not get the satellite radio because I never ordered it and that there is nothing further he can do. I again requested that I wish to return the car, Mr Castillo told me that this was not an option. I then received a survey and I expressed my dissatisfaction with my purchase. Shortly after, I received many phone calls as to why I was so dissatisfied. I was then told by Mr. Berry that he will make arrangements to install the satellite radio --ONLY if I let him access to my user name and password so that he can fill out a "good" survey. Shortly after, Mr. Castillo, called me to tell me that he will make arrangements to get the satellite radio to be installed and activated.--- I again voiced wishes to return the car. A date was made for instillation, I was provided a car rental for my inconvenience. I dropped off my car the evening before because I wanted to pick up my car in the early afternoon. Upon drop off-- a procedure that took almost an hour. I told the guy, that i was getting the satellite radio installed and activated. I also mentioned that I would like to control the IPod through the steering wheel (something that Mr. Berry told me that I was able to do) and that I was willing to pay to get this acquired. The next day, no one called me regarding the status of my car. I inquired at 11 am, and I was told that they were just looking at my car. I also asked about my personal request and the guy (same one from drop off) proceeds to ask me questions about what kind of connector I have for the IPod--- Something, I would expect him to know. I return the rental car, I filled up the car with gas and the process of returning the car took close to 40 minutes. Upon me questioning as to why the process was taking long, I am told that I did not fill up the gas tank all the way and that I will be charged. Prior to me returning the car, I filled up the tank down the block, I had a receipt to prove it. Then the guy states I am missing a "hair line" of gas. His associate looked at my receipt and looked at the car and stated I did not need to pay for anything. I finally return to the dealership, Almost 6pm and my car is finally ready. The satellite is installed but not activated. The guy tells me that was not part of the work order. I call Mr. Castillo and he tells me they were suppose to activate the radio. Mr. Castillo instructs me not to leave and that he will take care it it. Mr. Castillo calls me back and tells me to go back to servicing and that the radio will be activated. I enter the servicing center and I am instructed to sit in the waiting area. While I am there, I over hear the staff talking about me and they all feel that I should activate the radio on my own. The service guy then walks towards me that I need to activate it on my own. I just said good night and left the servicing center. Overall, I am dissatisfied with my purchase, I have expectations of a certain type of service, work ethics, and knowledge that this dealership lacks. Communication is lacking and the staff are very unprofessional. More
My experience was very good as I went to the dealership without an appointment and not knowing if I would be able to get the car and the monthly payment that really fits my budget and lifestyle. I did not without an appointment and not knowing if I would be able to get the car and the monthly payment that really fits my budget and lifestyle. I did not get just what I was looking for but I got much more than I could imagine. This is not my first experience with Westchester Toytoa dearlership but it is by far the most satisfying experience I could have as Mr. Juan Padilla -Cano was very professional and knowledgable, his tenacity and experience has given me the best investment and I could hope for. I went to Westchester Toyota Service to get the LoJack installed on my 2012 Highlander. The installation takes a very long time and I probably should have dropped the truck off. Mr. Marmorosa was very installed on my 2012 Highlander. The installation takes a very long time and I probably should have dropped the truck off. Mr. Marmorosa was very pleasant and professional from the beginning. He told me if I needed anything while I was waiting to ask him. I went into the waiting room and got my Nook out and started reading. I stepped out to get something to eat and as luck would have it, just as I was finishing up, Joe called me to let me know that the truck was ready. He even pulled it out front for me and was waiting with my paperwork when I returned. My complete satisfaction was only marred by the fact that the heat in the waiting room was not working. Everyone apologized profusely and Joe even offered to let me wait somewhere warmer! This is a great dealership/service. Their customer service is great and everyone that came into the waiting room smiled and spoke to everyone. I would definitely recommend them. More
I was scheduled for a regular maintenance appointment, I was introduced to Joe who was very friendly and welcoming from the very beginning. He sat me in his office, took down all of my information and asked was introduced to Joe who was very friendly and welcoming from the very beginning. He sat me in his office, took down all of my information and asked me what was my reason for coming in. I told him I had a regular maintenance appointment but wanted to know what the price for a 30,000 mile service would be since i was already at about 32,000. He proceeded to pull out the price list and tell me that it would cost me about $600. My jaw dropped, especially since my visit was 2 days after Christmas. He began to break down the different types of service that were included in this 30,000 mile service and what options I had to reduce the price significantly. After all was said and done I was able to get most of the important work needed done and only paid about half of the original price. Joe really took the time to explain everything to me and was very helpful from the beginning. I will definitely be bringing my car in for service and hopefully will be able to work with Joe again in the near future. More
