Toyota Highlander xle - bad experience with salesman Damion I was recommended by someone who used to work at the dealer to work with anonymous sales manager. When I entered the dealer I was greeted by a nice ge I was recommended by someone who used to work at the dealer to work with anonymous sales manager. When I entered the dealer I was greeted by a nice gentleman who had me and my family waited while he called the manager I asked for. When the manager came he seemed nice and courteous and assigned us a salesman named Damien, who seemed very rude from get go. He asked me what vehicle I was looking for, when I told him I was looking to lease Highlander XLE, his immediate response was I needed $499/monthly payment if I wanted to drive the car home. I asked him how did he come up with that number without looking at anything, his response was he has 12 years of experience. Then he asked me what kind of vehicle I currently drive and what the payment was, etc. I shouldn't have told him anything about what I currently drive but I did, as a result rest of our 40 minutes discussion was how I can save on leasing a Toyota vs. my current luxury lease. I told him if I don't save significantly from my current luxury lease I have the option to buy out my current vehicle or lease a new one instead of a Toyota. At first he pulled up KBB website then somehow he switched over to Edmonds.com to show my current vehicle value to prove my buyout value is higher than actual value of the vehicle. I asked him why is he showing me Edmonds price instead of KBB price, his response was Edmonds has true car value, I asked him if that is what they use to sell their vehicle, he was quiet. I asked him to show me Highlander xle value in Edmonds so he pulls up the site but this time he is hesitant to click through, when he did go through picking a vehicle he picked a highlander hybrid, I reminded him that we weren't looking for highbrid, long story short he wasted his and my time. I would not recommend anyone deal with this guy he is arrogant and dishonest. More

There was never any pressure to buy anything and he had so much patience with me as I know I am not the easiest person to deal with. Nevertheless, he answered every question, showed me every car I was possibly interested in, went through every nook and cranny and was incredibly knowledgable about every vehicle. I immediately returned with my mother who is also a Toyota customer, and prior to meeting Robert she wouldn't have considered giving up her current vehicle, but after meeting him she felt so comfortable to shop around with him as well, and ultimately made the decision to leave her old vehicle and leave with a newer used car. The sales process was such a smooth one thanks to this gentleman, for both my mother and I, that even when minor issues occurred, he was always able to explain an alternative. The best part about Robert Rios is that it is clear that he is passionate about what he does and his job doesn't just end when you leave the dealership with your vehicle.
