My wife and I drove from Sarasota just to test drive a used car at Westshore Mazda. No intention to purchase just looking. We had our 4 year old granddaughter in tow as well. Carlos was the sales repre used car at Westshore Mazda. No intention to purchase just looking. We had our 4 year old granddaughter in tow as well. Carlos was the sales representative who greeted us and showed us the car. Carlos was extremely professional and attentive to our needs and answered all our questions with no pressure conveyed. Carlos immediately bonded with our granddaughter answering her questions as well. After an extensive test drive, we purchased the car. Our entire experience at Westshore Mazda has been most satisfying. The car was in "like new" condition, and we couldn't be more pleased. We without hesitation, highly recommend Westshore Mazda and plan on visiting them for our future vehicle needs. More
Sales Manager Jafaar is a complete puppet fraud scam artist. I cant believe they put this guy as the head of sales. He lied about saying we had to have a mandatory windshield protection plan for 2k. Wow, what a mess. I was looking at a slightly used MX-5 listed at $30,968 online. I offered $30k with me paying taxes/tags, a $968 discount. I live 8 hours away but the CPO was interesting to me. Their listed at $30,968 online. I offered $30k with me paying taxes/tags, a $968 discount. I live 8 hours away but the CPO was interesting to me. Their drive out price as over $34k!! They included the tax/tags, which is only about $700 in my state. This was almost $3k over the listed price, unbelievable. They need to realize that advertising an unreal price only frustrates and angers customers. I have bought and sold dozens of cars over my life but this was a first. This is how car dealers get a bad reputation. More
Bad experience made worse by sales manager! He got upset bc I gave a poor review. Why send reviews if customers will be punished? He actually took back gift card and tried bc I gave a poor review for a po bc I gave a poor review. Why send reviews if customers will be punished? He actually took back gift card and tried bc I gave a poor review for a poor experience. Joe the sales manager said I slammed them, which was not a slam but honest review, he wasn’t going to honor gift card. I could careless about a gift card, but how he found a way to make a bad experience worse is amazing. Lots of other Mazda dealerships who want you business and understand how to work with frustrated customers. Apologies go a loooong way. More

Terrible experience and deceptive practices By Westshore Mazda and salesman ABDUL. I called and was assisted by Abdul regarding a preowned 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring with 24k miles. The website has the car Mazda and salesman ABDUL. I called and was assisted by Abdul regarding a preowned 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring with 24k miles. The website has the car listed at $22,991. When I called and inquired about the car and if they could provide me with a purchase breakdown via email as I would have to travel from Orlando (1hr45mins) away Abdul advised the price listed on the website is correct, there would be a dealer fee of $999 and everything else would be sales tax and government fees ( this was a lie).I made the trip. I inspected the vehicle and I noticed that there was an electrical issue with the windows that caused the one touch up and down not to work. Abdul advised that on the Grand Touring that only the 2 front windows are one touch ( this was also a lie) after telling him he was wrong he said he would talk to the manager. We went inside to talk numbers. The first thing Abdul showed me was a sheet with a breakdown of different credit scores and interest rate options. I immediately told him I had financing already ( this was a red flag that I was being judged being a young African American women who in his mind automatically needed help getting financed) he didn’t even ask like most dealers how would I be paying . He then asked me what interest rate my credit union gave me and I told him I’m not disclosing that info because it doesn’t matter. He then left the table and came back with a price breakdown that came out to $28,800 which included a bunch of junk fees and a $2,000 “recondition fee” which was not disclosed when I spoke with him on the phone or website. He said the fee was because they put a new battery in the car, did an oil change, and inspection.I asked if it was certified preowned and he said no but I can pay extra to have them certify it(SCAM) mind you the is a Lightly Used Mazda6 at a Mazda Dealership. I told him that’s not $2k worth of reconditioning on a car that literally had only 24kmiles on it. After several trips between me and his manager Abdul came back with a new price around $26075. This goes to show how much haggling goes on at stealer-ships and why places like Carvana are taking their business. I told him I wanted the vehicle for a specific amount $25200 and if they could not do that I understand and would go somewhere else. He then told me he can reach out to my finance company and ask them for more money on my behalf if I didn’t have enough to pay what they were asking for which was extremely rude and unprofessional as I wouldn’t be in the dealership if I couldn’t afford the car. I’m just not in the business of overpaying for a car that’s already inflated due to Chip shortages. Little did he know my preapproval was for $40k I just choose to look at a cheaper “beater car” as I have a lot of business trips and my 2020 Infiniti Q50 is a gas guzzler on road trips. I don’t care how unreasonable the dealer felt my price was another dealer will be happy to take my money. The issue wasn’t that we couldn’t come to a purchasing agreement it was all the negative interactions and belittling that occurred throughout the process. More

Raymond was so welcoming, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about all types of cars, their engines, and any exclusive features. He made us feel comfortable and flexible in purchasing a car and going through the process. He also explained everything in details for us and made sure that we perceived the specialty of each car and then made up the right decision for us. We really appreciated Raymond’s kind service and Madza’s support in maintaining our beautiful Madza car. Again, thank you so much for your excellent service, Raymond and Westshore Madza! More
Do not trust these people!! We are from out of state and negotiated and finalized the purchase of a Mazda Miata over the course of three days. Our salesman Walter Chavarria and manager Jaafar Harke re and negotiated and finalized the purchase of a Mazda Miata over the course of three days. Our salesman Walter Chavarria and manager Jaafar Harke refused a cash sale and required that we finance the vehicle. We reached an agreement, signed a price and financial agreement and met all of the dealership requirements and our credit was approved. We offered to put down deposit and asked for assurance before we purchased airline tickets and made non refundable hotel reservations and were assured the vehicle was being held and Walter texted: “We don’t do business like that. Like Jafaar had said normally we don’t keep cars. But since you’re taking you’re money and time to come we will for you. I actually have the keys separate already stored away.” The following day we scanned and sent photographs of our airline tickets as requested by Jaafar to assure that the vehicle was being held. This was completed at 3:02pm. However, at 5:32pm Walter sent a text stating that “I just went to grab the car and park it outside, we had a customer come in earlier this afternoon prior to you making a final decision and loved it and decided to buy it.” If it was put aside as Walter assured us, no one could have “come in earlier this afternoon” and “decide to buy it”. So we are out of pocket one-way flights from Louisiana and three nights of nonrefundable hotel rooms, because of the dishonesty of the salesman and his manager. I do not recommend doing business with anyone there! More
