Jose was super great, punctual, and really knew what he was doing! We have a 2010 preowned, certified Lexus RX 350 that we bought about 1 1/2 years ago and the battery died. We didn't know until that day was doing! We have a 2010 preowned, certified Lexus RX 350 that we bought about 1 1/2 years ago and the battery died. We didn't know until that day that the manual keys that were in our fobs do NOT open our car! So.... we couldn't get into the car to open the hood. Jose carefully got the car open with an air bladder, got it started, checked the battery, replaced the battery and then thought to ask me if I was using my manual garage door opener because he noticed it on my visor. I told him that I had tried to program the car to open the garage door, but had failed with the simple method and never gotten on a ladder to adjust the opener and get it done right. He hopped on his ladder, checked the opener, pushed some buttons, and it was working in about 2 minutes! Simple for him, but something I just hadn't done. It was so great of him to notice and offer to do that for me, and that is one of the reasons my husband and I so appreciate Lexus service and are on our 3rd Lexus right now! Our son just graduated from college two days ago, and we have already told him when he gets a job he should look at a pre-owned IS. I finally made up my mind to purchase my first luxury car and decided to go to this dealership. We had to ask a gentlemen if he worked there as no one had approached us (a total first for an auto dealership) and decided to go to this dealership. We had to ask a gentlemen if he worked there as no one had approached us (a total first for an auto dealership), He replied that he worked on the used car side and ushered us into the showroom. Well, we looked at the cars, opened them, looked in, sat in a couple but was NEVER approached. Not even the receptionist sitting at the door asked us if we needed help. We walked out and asked a guy out front what was the deal with the place. He seemed surprised when we told him no one even acknowledged our presence, although there were groups of employees everywhere. He asked us not to leave and went in, that is where Warren came out to talk to us and took us back inside...unfortunately, the die was cast. The wind was completely taken out of my sales. Warren was great, but I really could not give my money to this place. The next day we went to Sterling McCall, the obviously "all inclusive" Lexus dealer and purchased my new ES300h in the fire agrate color I liked so much. More
Leo Gomez was the third salesperson we meet with. During two previous visits to look at cars, we dealt with two other salespersons, both of whom were no longer with the dealership when we came back to final two previous visits to look at cars, we dealt with two other salespersons, both of whom were no longer with the dealership when we came back to finalize our purchase. This was a little disconcerting. I believe we were Leo's first sales. He did a great job but we could tell he was a little inexperienced. Other than the sales manager during price negotiations, no other salesperson assisted Leo with questions he could not answer. I was a little disappointed in the price negotiations. I asked Leo to come in with your best price and I was expecting a little discount for buying two cars. We ended up having to threaten to walk away and counter offer twice before finalizing a deal. I do not remember having to do that in our past dealings with Lexus and that was one of the things I liked about Lexus in the past. This was more like dealing with any of the other non-Lexus dealerships. The sales manager was very friendly and professional during these negotiations, but it still leaves a little bit of a basd taste for me. I have always dreaded the car buying process but this purchase was the most pleasurable car buying experience I have ever had. I have had Kyle keeping an eye out for a used LS 460 for me and he would em purchase was the most pleasurable car buying experience I have ever had. I have had Kyle keeping an eye out for a used LS 460 for me and he would email me when cars came in that fit within my parameters. When this certified 2007 black on black 460 came in with 48K miles in great condition he emailed me before it was even listed on the website. I came in to drive it with no intentions of actually getting a deal done that evening. The car was exactly what I wanted and not only did he come out with the price I was looking to pay based on my research but he hit the nail on the head on how much I wanted for trading in my 2004 LS 430. Even though I felt like I should counter just on principle alone, I couldn't, he really did show me his best offer right out of the gate and I had to appreciate that for what it was. Then I thought I was going to have to wait until the next morning as I intended to use a credit union that I had already received estimated financing terms from that were excellent, but Kyle introduced me to the credit manager and she thought they could come close enough to make the difference negligible. My history with dealer financing made me think otherwise but I gave them a shot and was pleasantly surprised. I walked in that evening thinking I was just going to test drive a car and I walked out 90 minutes later the proud owner of a new (to me) vehicle that I have been extremely satisfied with since. The car was not quite ready for delivery yet so I came to pick it up the next day. When it came out of make ready, one of the headlights burned out and Kyle took it back in to have it replaced. He also noticed when he started it that it didn't start up as fast as he would have liked so he replaced the battery as well. When we drove to the service department so he could familiarize me with it for my first service appointment, the headlight burned out again so he took it back in to have them thouroughly check it out. The next day was Saturday and he personally delivered the car to me as I do not live near the dealership. I have had no issues with the car since he delivered it and every time I get in it, I am so happy that I bought it. When you're buying a luxury vehicle, you expect a top notch level of service and that's exactly what I received. When it comes time to replace this vehicle, I sincerely hope that Kyle will still be there to take care of me. More
