The sales team I dealt with -- Darnell and Aaron (Sales Managers), Mel My experience with Whaling City Mazda was a very pleasant from start to finish. The sales team I dealt with -- Darnell and Aaron (Sales Managers), Mel (internet sales) and Oscar (sales associate) -- added many personal touches that set this dealership apart from the others and made me want to travel 45 minutes to buy a car there. I first visited Whaling City after sending out an internet inquiry to several CT dealers about a car in the Mazda line. Mel reached out to me right away and arranged a test drive. When I arrived, Darnell and Mel greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome and at ease. I explained that I had driven another brand of car for nearly 20 years, but had not had a good experience with my longtime dealership when I was looking to test drive a new car there. As a result, I was considering other brands, including Mazdas. After test driving different Mazdas, I decided I was most interested in two models. Darnell offered to loan me each vehicle for 24 hours through Whaling City's new car loan program so I could get a better feel for each of the cars. No other dealership I had visited had ever made this type of offer. The "try before you buy" process made all the difference to me and led to my eventual decision to buy a CX-3. I didn't come to my decision quickly. After my initial visit to Whaling City I looked at other makes and models of cars. There was never any pressure from Whaling City. In the end, when I decided to go with the 2018 CX-3, Oscar "crunched the numbers" and offered me a good deal, with 0% financing to make the deal even better. He also got me Weather Tech all weather car mats at wholesale pricingX. When I went to pick up the mats, Aaron (one of the sales managers) offered to install them for me. And before I left, he and Oscar gave me a personalized coffee mug with a picture of my new car on it, and a matching keychain. All the little extras the sales staff at Whaling City did, along with the genuinely friendly environment there, have made me very happy to do business with them. More
