Fair, Efficient, and Accommodating The sales experience began with Mr. Bear Dalton responding to my email regarding a second hand Ford Focus. Mr. Dalton was polite, concise, and timely The sales experience began with Mr. Bear Dalton responding to my email regarding a second hand Ford Focus. Mr. Dalton was polite, concise, and timely in his response. I spent the next few weeks comparing prices on similar models at various New England Ford dealers, and eventually found my way back to Whaling City Ford. Mr. Dalton sent several polite emails, and left several voice mails while I continued my search, but he was never pushy or aggressive. Once my wife and I decided to take the Focus out for a ride, we called Mr. Dalton, who was more than happy to set an appointment, having the car ready to be viewed, and spotless from his detailers. Upon entering Whaling City, the sales folks were all friendly, and led me to Mr. Dalton's desk. We were introduced, and Mr. Dalton greeted me with a smile and a firm handshake. He explained that he had set me up with Mr. Bobby Tucker, and led me to Mr. Tucker's desk. Mr. Tucker had much of the paperwork associated with the vehicle ready to go, along with the keys. Mr. Tucker was knowledgeable about the product, incredibly personable, and patient when it came time for any questions. I went out for a decent length test ride, and returned to Whaling City to leave a deposit on the vehicle. Upon returning from our test drive, I was introduced to the Sales Manager, Mr. Aaron Borsher. Mr. Borsher was also very engaging, made me feel welcome, and that my business was appreciated. Mr. Borsher took over several parts of the sales transaction that was more his responsibility than that of Mr. Tucker, and perfomed the tasks efficiently. Mr. Borsher and Mr. Tucker asked me how I wished to proceed, and made the next several steps very painless. I returned to Whaling City the following afternoon, with my trade in and it's title, upon which Mr. Tucker helped me close the loop. Once again, much of the paperwork associated with the sales transaction was waiting for me, and required only signatures and dates. Mr. Tucker then introduced me to Mr. Greg LeBeau in the Whaling City Finance Department, who had nearly all of the documentation ready for my arrival. Much like the other professionals at Whaling City, Mr. LeBeau was an absolute delight to work with. There were a few speed bumps through the process (I am a Massachusetts resident, trading in, purchasing, and registering a vehicle through a Connecticut dealer), but Mr. LeBeau overcame them in a very efficient and professional manner. The process could not have been better, from the beginning email from Mr. Dalton, to the final handshake and pat on the back from Mr. LeBeau upon picking up the keys to our new vehicle. Whaling City has a good recipe for success, and a friendly, professional staff who have gone out their way to make this a wonderful experience. At the end of this visit, it felt more like buying a car from a group of old college buddies, than the typical high pressure sales routine. They set up an appointment for me and were very flexible with timing to accommodate my work schedule. The entire staff is very friendly, courteous, professional and respectful from the moment you enter to the moment you drive your new vehicle off the lot, and beyond. The owner of the dealership even stopped by to chat about the vehicle I had purchased. I went from a Ford to a Lincoln SUV and they helped me find the exact right vehicle for my needs. Prompt service, no-pressure sales, no nonsense financing and a great service department, too. I would recommend this dealership without hesitation and will certainly be returning again. More
