I was looking for a newer used vehicle that was less than four years old. Miles per gallon (mpg) was my first selection criteria and price was my second; the car needed to get at least 35 mpg yet cost less t four years old. Armed with my Consumer Reports and various other ratings, I was scanning car lots to get a three-dimensional idea of the cars in the photo listings. Laurin Toohey at White Bear Mitsubishi Suzuki (WBMS) was friendly, helpful, and not pushy – exactly the type of car resource with which I like to work. The Suzuki SX4 was rated in the top 25 cars, but since Suzuki had decided to stop selling their cars in the U.S. I was hesitant to purchase one. The ratings for the SX4 were so-so, and the listed mpg was lower than I wanted, so I eventually continued to the next lot to inspect the other models on my list. Laurin gave me her contact information and also provided her personal cell phone number. I inspected and drove the other models yet found myself comparing them to the Suzuki. While checking in with me, Laurin asked if I had found the right car yet. I hadn’t so she suggested I take the SX4 overnight to check the mileage on my actual commute. It was that experience that sold me on the Suzuki (and boosted Laurin’s ratings as well). The individuals involved in my car purchase experience were all friendly, helpful, and professional. I have yet to meet the service technicians however I expect my experience with WBMS dealership to continue being excellent. I highly recommend working with these individuals – especially Laurin! More
