My name is Pete Erkkila and I am the General Manager of Wilde CJDR, and I wanted to respond to your review. The Challenger you wanted was indeed not on our lot and you knew this because you didnt want any miles on the vehicle and would not pay for a tranport to pick it up. Everyone involved in the deal knew the vehicle was at another dealer and needed to be brought to our store. As soon as you provided proof your check cleared your bank, we issued you a refund check. When you came on Saturday, the office is closed and nobody could print a check. Your check was promptly waiting for you on Monday morning. I take customer satisfaction very seriously and I don't feel your review is a fair description of what happened at my dealership. I am asking you to remove the review or possibly rewrite it to reflect an accurate account of what happened. Thank you for your time and consideration. Don't know where you're getting your info from, but your story as stated does not reflect the facts. My wife put a deposit down on a car that was implied by your sales staff as "available". She decided on the purchase at about 5:30PM on that Tuesday afternoon. We were aware that the car would have a few miles on it when putting down the deposit on the car, but she really wanted that particular car. Why your sales staff did not call this other Dealer to verify that the car was available at the time of our deposit, I don't know!!!! Do You? (we were told later by your sales manager that this other Dealer was closed on this particular Tuesday evening....sorry, I'm calling BS on that one, lies do not make for a good customer relationship) This should (and could) have been done prior to cashing our check. How you can cash a deposit on a car that's not even available is beyond me. If you took customer satisfaction seriously, you wouldn't cash checks for cars you don't have access to. After informing us that the car she wanted was not available, she was offered another car (which should have been significantly cheaper) for the same price. This cheaper car was the one discussed that would have had 300 or so miles put on it during delivery. After the wife called and told me she had accepted the cheaper car (for the same price?) I told her to call back and ask about the money as she was not aware that it should have been cheaper. Upon questioning your sales manager (here we go again) on the price, she was told that it was insignificantly less money. Don't know where you guys get your money from but $300 is significant to us. She was a little pissed at this point and decided to not accept this cheaper car. Upon informing your sales manager that we weren't accepting this cheaper car, they called back later to inform my wife that they found another car like the one originally requested except this particular car would have somthing more than a few hundred miles on it. At that point she said "Forget it, I want my deposit back". Then the 'run around' started. We were told by your sales manager "prove the check has cleared and we will give you a check immediately" OTHERWISE, WE WILL HOLD IT (our money!) FOR TEN DAYS". I produced this proof on Saturday morning and was told "sorry nobody is here to write a check". (he's quite the liar, your sales manager) (we've since discovered that your check was issued on the 27th and was on site last Saturday when we were there) What I stated in my review is the truth, based on facts, and will stand as originally written. Seriously, if you want to believe your very questionable sales manager over someone who wanted to spend their hard earned money on a new car, fine, go with it. I'd been doing business with your store for quite a few years (and cars) with great results and am disgusted by this last experience. My wife immediately, on Saturday, after leaving your place, went down the street and bought a new 2012 Mustang from Griffin Ford. I believe that I will be switching over to Ford for my next vehicle also. The new Mustangs are Really Nice. Tim V.-New Berlin PS. It's too bad she had to leave early, I believe that in dealing with her, we would have been truthfully informed as to the availability of the car we wanted to purchase.
