Surprised, I received quality work for a fair price! I have been to several certified dealers and service centers. I always left these places feeling I was way over charged and up sold on anything and I have been to several certified dealers and service centers. I always left these places feeling I was way over charged and up sold on anything and everything! I expect to pay a little more for the services at these businesses, knowing the techs are trained for that specific make and model of a vehicle and that the work will be diagnosed and done right the first time, in this case, a Toyota. DJ at Wilson Toyota of Ames, never once tried to up sell me on anything that wasn’t necessary, and only did the work that needed to be done. My vehicle was in for an oil change and the tech noticed a few shortcomings, a dirty air filter and a license plate light out. DJ notified me ASAP. I chose to have Wilson repair those shortcomings. When I returned to pick up the vehicle and pay for the repairs, I was surprised that I was not being charged an astronomical amount. Instead I was offered a coupon on top of the already fair charges. First time I have ever experienced that type of service! All I can say is that I was very impressed! Thank you DJ! More

He not only laid out EVERY option i had, he found EXACTLY what i was looking for as far as my budget and getting me all of the features i wanted The previous dealership i went to had me there for 8 HOURS and this entire process from picking out a car to driving home was barely over 2 hours! I had to return my rental car that same day so we were talking about how i was going to have to make a second trip from Des Moines to Ames to bring someone with me and return the rental and Brad instead went way out of his way to return my rental car for me himself on a Friday night when he was off work! WHAT OTHER SALESMAN WOULD DO THAT?! He was knowledgeable, funny, and actually listened to me and didn't make me feel like he was pushing me into a sale. If you come here to purchase a vehicle and dont ask for him, you're making a mistake! (Although, I'm sure everyone else is awesome too!) More
