I’ve since learned that was false—it could have been easily removed. I’m now out $1,800 because of their misleading information. My car also has a matte finish, and no one explained how fragile and high-maintenance it is. Scratches can’t be buffed out, washes must be touchless or hand wash only, and they still won’t remove things like sap or debris. I’m left with a delicate car that cannot be properly cleaned unless I go to a specialty shop. I let the manager know about my experience, and while he has offered to talk, I don’t trust them and want everything in writing. So far, they have provided no resolution. I deeply regret buying from them and feel completely taken advantage of. Do yourself a favor—drive farther to another Kia dealership. Stay far away. This crosses the line from pushy car sales into outright misleading and deceptive sales practices. More
At Winn Kia you Lose: I was in negotiation to buy a vehicle at Winn Kia on Jan 17th, but was informed that I would have to pay for LoJack, which was not included in the negotiated price. California vehicle at Winn Kia on Jan 17th, but was informed that I would have to pay for LoJack, which was not included in the negotiated price. California law prohibits dealers from conditioning the sale of a vehicle on the purchase of add‑ons or accessories. These products are optional, even if pre‑installed, and cannot be required as a condition of sale. Fortunately for me, they put their demand in writing: "Yes, you are right about it not being a mandatory condition, however to complete a deal at this time the products would need to stay on the vehicle for us to accept any type of offer." Please note that, if this dealership has sold you add-ons you didn't want, or even if they told you that you needed to pay for these add-ons and you passed, you can report this to the CA Attorney General's office. To report a car dealership to the California Attorney General (AG), file a complaint online through the Public Inquiry Unit at: oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company by submitting a detailed description of the fraud or deceptive practices, dates of transactions, and dealership contact info. I will be doing that and including the entire email chain in which Winn stated that they "can not remove those ad-ons." It's important to report any of these illegal conditions to build a case against the dealer. Also, if you feel that you were duped by Winn Kia, you can also contact a California attorney who specializes in auto dealership fraud such as hidden fees. Google will provide you with many names. BTW, installing LoJack on a Chevrolet Bolt EUV is generally unnecessary because the vehicle comes with built-in OnStar connectivity, which provides stolen vehicle recovery services. While LoJack offers extra tracking, it is often viewed as a high-markup dealer add-on that duplicates existing, often included, technology. More

I bought a car there not long ago, and it was the worst thing ever. Way worse than my other three buys at different spots. First off, they straight-up lied about a feature. They acted like the car had it, even showed me how it "worked." But after I paid, we found out it didn't have it at all. Second, there was a mistake in my name on the registration papers. Nothing hard to fix. I emailed them, but no timely replies, I had to send them multiple emails, the issue has not been fixed yet. Third, the steering wheel on this brand-new car isn't even straight. It's super obvious, and the car only had 280 miles. I asked for a free fix, like an alignment. They said it looked fine to them, but they'd do it if I paid, maybe with a discount. Look, all this stuff shows they only care until your money's in their pocket. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. You'll thank me later. More
This dealership is a complete bait-and-switch operation. On 9/6/25, Winn Kia advertised a 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid EX with 6,991 miles for $28,888 (VIN KNDPVCDG8R7174170, Stock #U3672). I called twice before making the 9-hour round trip from Redding, and both times was assured the car was on the lot, available, and priced at $28,888. I even asked directly if there were any hidden fees or add-ons. They said no. When we arrived, the salesperson suddenly claimed the car was “actually in Oakland” and not on the lot at all. He then presented us with an out-the-door price of $39,426.96 — nearly $11,000 higher than advertised — loaded with bogus add-ons (LoJack, Clear Shield, Lux Care, warranty, etc.). When I declined, I was told the add-ons were mandatory and could not be removed. The manager, “Oso,” confirmed this, refused to honor the advertised price, refused to put it in writing (other than the inflated worksheet), and even refused to let me record the conversation. In his presence, I wrote on the worksheet: “Per Oso 9/6/25 unadvertised ‘add-ons’ are not optional and cannot buy vehicle without those add-ons.” He verbally confirmed this was correct. This is textbook bait-and-switch, in violation of California law. They knowingly lied, pressured us to rush down, wasted an entire day, and caused us to walk away from another valid deal. Deceptive, dishonest, predatory. Avoid Winn Kia of Fremont at all costs. More
My experience with Winn Kia of Fremont has been exceptionally disappointing, and I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise extreme caution. While Justin in finance (and we didn’t even do any f exceptionally disappointing, and I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise extreme caution. While Justin in finance (and we didn’t even do any financing) was a professional and helpful individual, the sales team, specifically Mick and Oso, were the epitome of unprofessional and untrustworthy car salespeople. We came to Winn Kia specifically for a 2024 Tesla Y that they had in stock – a vehicle we would not have otherwise considered a Kia dealership for. During the purchase agreement, Mick promised the car would be delivered three days later, after minor scratch repairs, a full detail, and a full charge. This promise was made on a Sunday, and we rearranged our schedules for the agreed-upon Wednesday delivery. Unfortunately, this was the first of multiple broken promises and a complete lack of respect for our time. Mick failed to deliver the vehicle at the agreed time, offering apologies and rescheduling twice more that same day, despite our explicit request for proactive communication if there were any delays. Each time, he was a no-show without any advance notice. He eventually offered a late-night delivery, which was unacceptable. The following morning, Mick was again late. When we contacted the dealership to inquire, we spoke with someone named Ollie or Ali who was incredibly rude and dismissive, promising a call back from the sales manager that never materialized. When Mick finally arrived with the vehicle, the exterior was superficially clean, but the interior still contained crumbs, and the car was not charged as promised. In fact, the charging history indicated it hadn't been charged since before our purchase. While Justin in finance was understanding and attempted to rectify the situation, the issue was ultimately passed to Oso, from whom we have heard nothing. It is now mid-April, over two months since our purchase at the beginning of February, and the promises made during the sale have not been fulfilled. The lack of communication, repeated broken promises, and unprofessionalism displayed by Mick and Oso are unacceptable. Winn Kia of Fremont should be avoided. Justin in finance aside, our experience was a stark reminder of the worst stereotypes associated with car sales. More

Yesterday marked the day we officially joined the esteemed KIA customer family, and I must attribute all credit to Matty, our exceptional guide throughout the entire journey. Matty’s warmth and enthu esteemed KIA customer family, and I must attribute all credit to Matty, our exceptional guide throughout the entire journey. Matty’s warmth and enthusiasm made our experience at Fremont Kia truly extraordinary. From the moment we stepped into the showroom, Matty welcomed us with open arms, providing an unparalleled experience that began with a detailed explanation of the car’s features. The test drive felt like an adventure, seamlessly transitioning into the quoting and negotiation phases. Matty effortlessly guided us through the benefits of our chosen model, making the entire process enjoyable. Matty took an extra step to deliver the car home as we don’t have enough drivers. Closing the deal at Fremont Kia wasn’t just a transaction; it felt like bringing a new member into our family. Unlike our prior encounter at Steven Creek Kia, where the experience felt detached and impersonal, Fremont Kia, especially with Matty’s assistance, presented a complete contrast. Our recommendation for Fremont Kia goes beyond the quality of their cars; it’s about the exceptional experience they offer. If you’re fortunate enough to work with Matty, consider yourself in super good hands. The level of care and attention to detail provided by Matty and the Fremont Kia team made our car-buying journey truly memorable. More
Alex Ngo was the 1st to greet us and bring keys for the cars that we were interested in. We then met with Manuel Lopez. He explained the price and the options we had.
