They were so easy to work with and that's important to a woman making a purchase of this magnitude. Although I took a test drive I was not pestered on the phone or by email between the time I first went into their dealership and several weeks later when I finally made up my mind I wanted the Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. When I was ready to deal I called and they were thrilled I chose them to make my purchase. I credit them for my decision with the fact that I was NOT talked down to and NOT high pressured into anything. They earned my trust and my business with the way they treated me. More
Easy to work with no pressure Tony was very knowledgeable and helped narrow down our choices based on the features we were looking for. We are very pleased with our purchase. When I asked about several faults with the car (one expensive thing) that happened in the next few days after I drove off the lot, they (Mike, the finance manager) told me,"what do you expect when you buy a high mileage car?" So I checked with other dealers and they all (three) told me they would have taken care of the defects--good business, good reputation. Withnell Hyundai apparently doesn't follow the same guidelines. Buyers beware of the bad business at this dealership. Dishonest and deceptive indeed! More
The finance guy quoted me a four year payment plan, I asked for a three year term and he showed me the numbers for it. Shame on me for not doing the math or reading the fine details, but the shark put m asked for a three year term and he showed me the numbers for it. Shame on me for not doing the math or reading the fine details, but the shark put me in a four year loan. Which is better for him and the dealership. That, coupled with the fact that Hyundai misrepresented the miles per gallon on the Elantra GT 5 door as being 36 MPG (best I've ever gotten on the freeway is 29), means I will never recommend this dealership, buy or recommend a Hyundai to anyone. I did receive a letter from Hyundai saying they made a mistake in their test lab and realized the MPG is "1 or 2 MPG lower than published." 36-29 = 7...that's a 8 days of commuting gas I wouldn't have had to pay for. I have driven the car just about 300 miles +/- and found that the suspension feels like it is going to apart. I changed out the headlights because the ones that came with the car were frosty and needed replacing. The plastic on the driver's side that holds the headlight in is broken and when looking deeper I found the grill is loose and the mount for the grill is also broken. Some one had tried to glue or epoxy it to make it stay but that did not work. The CARFAX, which I recently am discovering is a document that is useless, does not say anything about the real history of the vehicle. There are indications that the car has had a minor enough wreck or something that a shop can just paste it together and detail it out enough to sell it to some unsuspecting slob like myself. I overpaid for the car and was taken to the cleaners. Will I confront Withnell's about this? For what? They have the whole selling process down so that once you have signed your life away, you are stuck with it. I may pursue some avenue of retaliation, but it is my fault for trusting once again in Whithnell's and being taken to the cleaners. I will not be recommending this dealership for anything. More
