I recently bought a used 01 Mustang from the dealership. Supposedly in excellent condition for it's age. I have driven the car just about 300 miles +/- and found that the suspension feels like it is going to apart. I changed out the headlights because the ones that came with the car were frosty and needed replacing. The plastic on the driver's side that holds the headlight in is broken and when looking deeper I found the grill is loose and the mount for the grill is also broken. Some one had tried to glue or epoxy it to make it stay but that did not work. The CARFAX, which I recently am discovering is a document that is useless, does not say anything about the real history of the vehicle. There are indications that the car has had a minor enough wreck or something that a shop can just paste it together and detail it out enough to sell it to some unsuspecting slob like myself. I overpaid for the car and was taken to the cleaners. Will I confront Withnell's about this? For what? They have the whole selling process down so that once you have signed your life away, you are stuck with it. I may pursue some avenue of retaliation, but it is my fault for trusting once again in Whithnell's and being taken to the cleaners. I will not be recommending this dealership for anything. More
Crystal and her team provided a very pleasant car buying experience for me. I had been researching the new Santa Fe for more than a month and was in contact with almost all the dealers in the region. Crysta experience for me. I had been researching the new Santa Fe for more than a month and was in contact with almost all the dealers in the region. Crystal was very honest and upfront since the beginning and offered a competitive price. Furthermore, she went above and beyond to get the car with exact specification I requested. Working with Crystal, I never experienced usual games and tricks that other dealerships played against me. She honored everything we agreed on over the email conversations and made it very easy when I went to the dealership. At the dealership, Bill went over the paperwork and patiently explained to me everything I needed to sign. Rich showed me the car and went over all the bells and whistles of it. His comprehensive knowledge of all the functions and new technologies exploited in the new Santa Fe is something you don’t find in most dealerships. Overall I am very happy with the car, the deal, and the team at Withnell. It certainly worth it the 60 miles drive to Salem. I will recommend them to my family and friends. More
I purchased a new 2012 Hyundai Genesis and it was a very prompt and easy car buying experience. After receiving a better offer from a competing dealership, Withnell matched it without the usual delays you m prompt and easy car buying experience. The salesman Dan and his supervisor Mike were funny, fun and great to deal with, enjoyed our time with them, as we concluded the deal with the finance person, Bill the customer service went down the toilet. and great to deal with, enjoyed our time with them, as we concluded the deal with the finance person, Bill the customer service went down the toilet. I tried to end the deal and walk out twice due to his attitude. I feel disappointed and cheated out that my buying a new car was ruined due to one person's demeanor. He did not explained the loans to us, nor gave us any options about the financing. He had a crappy and unhappy behavior. Just expected us to sign at the highlighted areas and begone. I posted on the dealerships blog website, but it gets deleted. Dan is super, we really enjoyed his attitude and we decided to buy a car from him, but how does a salesman make sure the buying experience and customer service is still A+ when someone else finishes the deal and can ruin the potential sale? I don't like to complain but purchasing a new car is a serious commitment, and somehow I feel dissatisfied with Withnell. Even Anne Marie the customer service rep who I communicated through email back and forth did not ease my unhappiness. It seems the dealership will be nice and wonderful until you sign the deal, and after that, all the pleasantries goes away, especially if you have any complaints or issues. I am sorry to say we wont come back unless they have a different person doing the finance part, and we wont be buying a new Dodge Ram Truck we are in the market for, I will go elsewhere. More
My experience with Withnell Hyundai was probably the best experience I have had in purchasing a new vehicle. I have bought new cars with most of the dealerships in Salem, Oregon and had good experiences wit experience I have had in purchasing a new vehicle. I have bought new cars with most of the dealerships in Salem, Oregon and had good experiences with most of them but Withnell was a step above in my opinion. Withnell Motor Company is a true "5 Star Dealership"! I recently purchased my second vehicle from them. Crystal Asmam has been my sales person on both occasions. She is very professiona Dealership"! I recently purchased my second vehicle from them. Crystal Asmam has been my sales person on both occasions. She is very professional and understands that honesty and integrity are both vital in maintaining a positive customer relationship. Because I live in Central Oregon, both vehicles were purchased via the internet through e-mails,text messages, and a few phone conversations. Each purchase was finalized before I drove over the mountain to pick up my new car. Upon arrival, all paperwork had been prepared in advance so that only my signatures were required to wrap things up. Bill Howard skillfully handled this task both times. Bill is very professional and respectful. Unfortunately, Crystal was unable to be there the day I picked up my new car so I worked with her assistant, Alli Federico. Alli is another great employee at Withnell Motors. She was very courteous, friendly and helpful. The last person I met was Scott Vonweller, another sales person at Withnell. He rode with me on the test drive and reviewed many of the car's features and linked my cell phone to the hands-free bluetooth system. Scott is a great guy and eager to answer your questions. If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle, I would strongly suggest you call or visit Withnell Motors! You will not be disappointed! More
I bought a vehicle from Scott Von Weller. He was GREAT! I had left many other dealerships (especially ones in Portland) disgusted by terrible sale techniques and high pressure situations. (One dealership I had left many other dealerships (especially ones in Portland) disgusted by terrible sale techniques and high pressure situations. (One dealership tried to get my social security and personal information just to talk to me about a price!!!!) Scott did a great job to help me find what I wanted. He was extremely low pressure and very honest. If he had or could get what I wanted he was willing to help me out. I spend tons of time researching things and figuring out where I'm getting ripped off and where I'm getting a good deal. When it came to all of the people and dealers I looked at this was the best deal and the best salesman. I have also owned my vehicle for about 8 months now and have no regrets. Since purchasing the car I've been back in and enjoyed conversations with Scott. He's a great guy! More
Steve Baty and the Withnell dealership worked hard to get a "hard to get" model in, in a timely fashion. He made sure it had all the features I wanted. He arranged a test drive for me before orde a "hard to get" model in, in a timely fashion. He made sure it had all the features I wanted. He arranged a test drive for me before ordering so I could make sure my golf clubs fit into the trunk of the Veloster. (They do). Salesman Brett V. has been very helpful with the electronic features we were not able to figure out. Enjoying my new car and the experience I had. More

WHITHNELL MOTOR CO. I recently made a purchase from WHITHNELL MOTOR CO. I recently made a purchase from this company. The Best recommendation I can give is “beware”… the sales man and sale managers th WHITHNELL MOTOR CO. I recently made a purchase from this company. The Best recommendation I can give is “beware”… the sales man and sale managers that I dealt with showed themselves to be predatory lairs on every level and made multiple misrepresentations of the facts about the vehicle… and when I revealed that I was not a Bumpkin that would take their deceptions for truth and did my own research they still tried to feed me a bunch of non-sense double-talk. Do yourself a favor; stay far away from this place…? I never give them another penny of my business. A Very Dishonest Den of Predators. More
