We purchased a used Rogue 2021 w/466 miles on it. Love the car. However, we have been trying to get the title work for this car since we purchased it in December, 2021! We have since discovered that Love the car. However, we have been trying to get the title work for this car since we purchased it in December, 2021! We have since discovered that the first owner did not pay the sales tax on it or register the car. In other words, he “title jumped” the car which is illegal in every state!! The salesman and sales manager must have known this because they were fired a week after we purchased the car!! We have been going back forth with the dealership since December, 2021. Each time we’ve talked with someone we have been told they would pay the tax if needed! To date, they haven’t and now we are receiving notices from the MO Dept of Revenue threatening to assess all kinds of fees!! At this point, we have filed a complaint with the MO Attorney General asking for his help. We may even have to retain a lawyer. This is a freaking nightmare!! Don’t buy a used car unless they can show you the title free and clear!!! More
