I purchased a top of line 2021 Ranger Tremor with 7,000 miles from this dealership and have nothing but good things to say about the sales rep Michael. He met and exceeded all my expectations about the sales process: I also love the truck. The service department not so much. Soon after I took delivery, I started experiencing an intermittent but reoccurring rattle in the passenger side door. When I was in the neighborhood, I stopped by to talk to Michael about It. To my pleasant surprise he suggested we take a drive. He, too, heard the rattle and asked Brandon in the service department to call me to make an appointment which he did. This is where the story goes downhill. After I explained that the rattle was intermittent but reoccurring, Brandon explained that the process at World Ford was for a service tech to drive my vehicle around the block, but if he didn’t hear the rattle, they wouldn’t explore further. In response to my follow-up question, he said my word and the fact that a colleague heard the rattle was irrelevant. I’m not saying that Brandon was rude or unprofessional but he was definitely unsympathetic and wouldn’t budge. In some regards I can understand this policy. I’m sure there many bad customers out ther who make unreasonable demands based on mythical evidence. But for a customer who just gave the dealership a five star review for its sales process with a top-of-the-line vehicle still under its factor warranty, the response to my problem was unacceptable. After all, how long does it take for a good technician to pop an interior door panel and check out the clips? More
The work they did was fine. What they repaired has worked so far. My only complaint was that the billing and estimate that I received was lower then I had to pay. When I mentioned it to the advisor I was told aloud of xx even if she threw in a oil change. This may be my fault for not bringing it up to management. More
