Salesman Marco Barlow was very patient searching the requirements I wanted in a new Ford EcoSport & delivered the car in 2 days from another State. He thoroughly explained the new features so that I was able to drive off the lot feeling competent I could easily find the controls I needed. This is the 5th car we've purchased from Key/World Ford. Car Buying Experience The TL;DR is Marco did a really awesome job. He helped me find options in the window I was interested in and came off as genuinely friendly. He went The TL;DR is Marco did a really awesome job. He helped me find options in the window I was interested in and came off as genuinely friendly. He went above and beyond (in my mind) and was very helpful. I will say your Service department needs work. I must have left 3 voicemails (with the prompt assuring me someone would return my call as soon as possible) over a week and a half after originally being told when I dropped my car off that I'd hear back in 2 days and finally had to show up in person to finally get an answer. It's the kind of thing that can tarnish a brand. I was pretty frustrated from that experience and Marco did an awful lot to salvage that and helped turn a negative view of Ford into a positive one. Always check their work after they say they're done and have them show you before you leave. 2. Ask for their labor rate and have them explain the amount of time Ford says a job should take. 3. Inspect the vehicle after they're done and before leaving the dealership, with a Service Advisor watching. In total, this dealership had my truck somewhere in the neighborhood of 55 service hours and did not fix my A/C. They first changed the evaporator and called the truck fixed, charging $1,000 in labor, $300 in parts. Then, after a return visit for them to clean up the filthy mess the mechanic left my truck in, I found the A/C was still not working. All of this within a week. They took the truck back in and told me it was actually the compressor that needed to be replaced and told me it would be another $1,300! I said, "No way!" There was no discussion to be had for why they didn't fix it the first time, why their mechanic trashed my vehicle and left it amuck with parts rolling around under the center console and pieces out of place, or why they charged me for work that didn't fix the problem in the first place. There was no accountability for the severe incompetence on the mechanic's part. To top it off, I learned the hard way that I need to ask about labor rates before going into a place like this. I had them do a Ford TSB (Technical Service Bulletin), which calls for a fuse relocation kit to be installed (TSB EL3Z-14293-A). This TSB is Ford rated at taking 0.60/HR to complete. Their total cost for that 6/10ths of an hour was $202.43. I'm left to conclude they're charging upwards of $300/HR for labor and explains why they charged me $1,000 for the A/C labor and wanted another $1,000 to take another stab in the dark at fixing it. Mind you, that was their rate with them giving me a discount for being a veteran; "helping you out," they said. This is a significant abuse of their contempt for any customer's best interest and the biggest reason I will not recommend this store to anyone if asked. This two week long inconvenience was a bad experience and a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this dealership's Service Department for trustworthy, dependable, honest service by any means. Very disappointed. Last, and most important: The two Service Advisors that helped me through this two week ordeal were outstanding. In a World of terrible experience (pun intended), they stood out for their service, responsiveness and integrity. It is a shame their efforts were lost from there. More
