I brought this vehicle in for a recall. The service department scheduled a day for me to drop the vehicle off. They should check to see if the part is in stock first. It was on at least a 2 week back order which I found out after dropping off the vehicle. There was no reason for me to drop it off until the part was in. It was a known issue with a known fix and part so this should not have been difficult to coordinate by the service department. In the end, I was left without use of the vehicle for 17 days. I requested a rental which was eventually scheduled on a Friday. When I called the local rental shop, they were close for the weekend. Again, if the part is delayed, scheduled a later service date or at least provide a rental vehicle right away. The additional services offered after the vehicle was inspected were priced unreasonably high in my opinion. I was quoted over $300 to fix a $13 fuel door. The service technician seemed professional and understanding of the situation. I don’t know whose responsibility it was to coordinate a rental. Whoever it is delayed until I gave up thinking they would provide quality customer service. I would not willingly return to World Ford to purchase a vehicle or for service because of this experience. While on vacation from Minnesota, my 2019 Ford Escape began displaying alerts indicating numerous electrical issues. She arranged a ride back to Gulf Shores after I dropped off the car, and a return ride back to the dealership to pick up my car several days later.
