First-Time Subaru Buyers My wife and I purchased our first Subaru from World Subaru last week, and we couldn't be more pleased. Everything about the experience was terrific. Our initial contact with Emily Watts, the Internet Sales Rep, was fast and efficient. Within minutes of our initial inquiry through the TrueCar website, Emily called us to help us set up a test drive for the following evening. The next day we met with Safet Salaj, Product Specialist, who had a Forester with the options we wanted ready for us to take out for a spin. My wife and I were quite impressed with the ride and features and decided it was the car for us. We came to a satisfactory agreement with Safet on the price of our new vehicle - no hassle, no pressure, no unwanted dealer add-ons. We then signed the necessary paperwork and agreed to pick up our new Forester the next night. They didn't even require a deposit. The following evening we finalized the paperwork and paid by personal check (no need for a certified or cashier's check). Daniella Brisindi, the Delivery Specialist, spent over a half hour with us, in the car, going over the basics of the different systems and features (Starlink and EyeSight, in particular). Daniella's thorough and enthusiastic explanation helped us become comfortable with the operation of our vehicle before we left. And that was it - we drove off the World Subaru lot with our new Forester. The entire transaction took less than two days, and it was totally painless. In fact, the World Subaru team made our car-buying experience pleasurable. More

I really appreciated how Dennis McWeeney spoke to my husband and myself with equal respect; as a woman, I've walked out of dealerships when the salesman (yes, always a man) talked down to me or treated me like I wasn't even there and spoke only to my spouse. Dennis was the real deal. Finance guy, Mike I think was his name, he did a good job as well. Daniella Brisindi , our Delivery Specialist, was equally crackerjack. Patient, knowledgeable and also very respectful. Buying a car is hard work; in a perfect world, there wouldn't be any price negotiating (I'm a member of the religious movement that actually invented standardized pricing long ago) but it's not Subaru's fault, I suppose, that this is the way the car business operates. Totally appreciate that Subaru doesn't do that whole rebate thing, which can end up feeling like a bait and switch to the customer. All in all, the experience was excellent--exceeded my expectations, in fact. More
