Setting the bar of what a dealership should be So after taking my car to my local ny vw mentioned the chk engine goes on and than shuts off every so often. When I brought it to my dealer of course So after taking my car to my local ny vw mentioned the chk engine goes on and than shuts off every so often. When I brought it to my dealer of course it went away. Asked to look at it and they performed my 50k service and said no issues w/ the car. Sure enough turns out 2 days later the engine light goes on again. Being at the jersey shore for the weekend I decided to go to my nearest vw dealer. Ended up @ world vw. I walk in no appt. my chk engine light was on but than when I got there it miraculously went away, I'm thinking here we go again. I figured may as well let them look at it. Dylan greeted me w a smile and asked if I mind waiting for a half hr as they were busy. I tell him sure nothing bothers me more than a chk engine light on my gti. Now my '12 gti is out of warranty being it has 54000 miles but I was willing to pay for the repair being its a vw authorized dealer. So the tech scanned some codes and turns out my intake manifold went bad (why the ny tech didn't find that not sure). I'm thinking how much is this gunna set me back? Dylan shared the great news that its covered under warranty and they have the part in stock. He did say its 4 hrs of labor so I would need to leave the car the rest of the day which I didn't mind as I wanted it fixed. Just as I'm about to call an Uber Dylan arranged a driver to take me back home. sure why not spent the next few hrs at the beach and 430 I get a call from Dylan that his driver is on the way to take me back to the dealer! Coming from an overpopulated ny dealer I became accustomed to lackluster customer service. These fine folks really setting the tone, coffee, bagels chips and most importantly the feeling that they really do care. So for my next service its worth an hr drive for me and guess what...next summer when its time for me to trade in my gti for a golf r guess were ill be going...straight to world vw Thanks for a pleasant experience More

They ruined my credit history I've been here in US for 4 months only and wanted to buy a car here. The dealer (Steven Alfano) who worked with me made a mistake in credit applica I've been here in US for 4 months only and wanted to buy a car here. The dealer (Steven Alfano) who worked with me made a mistake in credit application (which he send without my permition, btw) and now I have 17 hard inquiries from different banks in my credit report. When I tried talk to manager (Jonathan Redwood) who supervised the guy I got a scream from him "You are nobody! You are escalating the problem to me because you want to get discount! We don't care if you leave!". Horrible experience. More

Anyone I've ever known that has had to go to a car dealership has sat there a minimum of 6 hours, and my entire process with World Volkswagen took 3-4 hours. The salesman and manager are looking to get you the best price possible, and are always making sure you are comfortable and happy. They had a play area for kids which was amazing, and they had a food and drink area that wasn't just chips, it had tons of quality snacks, bagels with cream cheese and butter, and they even had a drink dispense that make hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. They didnt give me the run around, they were straight forward, and didn't push me into anything. My salesman, Joe Scarpino, was the most kind, chill, and honest person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He understands that your time is valuable, and that you want the best price possible. Joes goal is to get you the best deal possible, in a timely manner. He won't push you into anything, he listens to you, and he's looking out for you. Their cars are amazingly priced, and I absolutely loved doing business with them. I will definitely make sure to refer anyone that needs a car to them in the future ! More
