I took my truck in for its first oil change, tire rotation, and full multi-point inspection. On my way home, I noticed that two of my tires were showing low tire pressure. After checking them, I r rotation, and full multi-point inspection. On my way home, I noticed that two of my tires were showing low tire pressure. After checking them, I realized that when the tires were rotated, the pressures were never adjusted for their new positions. My truck calls for 55 PSI in the front and 75 PSI in the rear, so this should have been part of completing the tire rotation correctly. Normally, something like tire pressure wouldn't be a huge deal to me. What concerns me more is the lack of attention to detail. If something as basic and easily verified as tire pressure was overlooked, it makes me question how thoroughly the advertised multi-point inspection was actually performed. Was everything genuinely inspected, or is it becoming another box that gets checked so the next vehicle can be brought in? I've taken my vehicles here since moving to the area three years ago and have continued coming back because I trusted the service. I also saved for nearly two years to buy this truck. I plan on keeping it for as long as I possibly can, which means preventative maintenance and thorough inspections are extremely important to me. I'm now seriously considering taking my truck somewhere else for future service—or simply doing the maintenance myself. At least if I do it myself, I know I'll take the time to actually inspect everything instead of assuming it was done because a box on an inspection sheet says it was. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect attention to detail, especially when I'm trusting someone else to help me take care of a vehicle that I worked hard to buy and intend to keep for many years.
