I denied that as I wanted to get my wife a car at the same time I did a trade in and we couldn’t purchase our first visit due to the total loss claim on her previous Toyota. When I got her new car last week, my truck was only valued at $26k, and apparently it was a different sales manger from before. More

Poor survey scores equals poor customer treatment I am actually completely JAW DROPPED by the way I was just treated by the General Manager, Patrick Carr, from Racine Toyota. I was told by my sales p I am actually completely JAW DROPPED by the way I was just treated by the General Manager, Patrick Carr, from Racine Toyota. I was told by my sales person that the check I was writing that day for my new lease would be for my first payment (Septembers payment) and that my next payment would be October. I clarified this SPECIFICALLY because I didn't want to double pay for the month on the lease (from TOYOTA) that I was TURNING IN and the lease (from TOYOTA) that I was GETTING THAT DAY. Come to find out (after the fact of signing for the paperwork) that my payment was due in September. In turn - yes, double paying for the month on 2 of their leases. The closing gal was rushed and said to call Toyota to figure it out that I would probably get a check cut back from Toyota Financial. That wasn't the case when I called. I then called the dealership back to see what they could do for the apparent misunderstanding by the sales guy. I was hoping they would honor what they had promised. Patrick Carr (the GM)called and was reasonable in our discussion seeming to understand what transpired. He said he would call me back to see what he could do and was willing to work with me in coming to an agreement, even offering a few solutions. I felt good that they would work with a loyal customer. In between the time that I talked to him and when he called me back he read a survey that I had gotten in an email from Toyota earlier that day. In the survey I answered honestly about my experience (which I had JUST explained to him when we spoke). His tone of voice was very angry and short, he was condescending and outrageously rude when he called back. He said he would now do NOTHING for me SPECIFICALLY stating because of my poor marks on my Toyota survey. I thought, he must be kidding me, that was what surveys were FOR. They are designed to help companies improve on areas they faltered in and build on their strengths. (Keep in mind my survey was not mean in any way, but they did get some poor scores in areas) I asked him again ... "are you seriously telling me you changed your mind in working on a solution from 10 minutes ago because of my SURVEY???" "YEP!" he said. It was like he was having a temper tantrum. he went on to say "I'm now not going to do a thing for you ... not even what we had discussed on our call". I'm shocked. I NEVER been treated so rudely and unprofessionally. A SURVEY should NEVER EVER EVER hurt a customer's treatment. Toyota absolutely lost a customer that they could have easily saved. My sales guy was great by the way .... this isn’t a reflection on him as I believe he truely didn’t know the lease rules with payment. It is purely a reflection on the aftermath with how Toyota handled it. #toyota #toyotawisconsin #toyotaracine More
