When we went to the dealership they were great at listening to us and not trying to sell us something we didn’t want. We were able to come to an agreement on price for both vehicles and left happy. My experience with Boerne Dodge was nothing short of infuriating, marked by blatant dishonesty, empty promises, and a complete disregard for my time and trust. Over the course of a week, I dealt with th infuriating, marked by blatant dishonesty, empty promises, and a complete disregard for my time and trust. Over the course of a week, I dealt with three different salespeople regarding a 2025 vehicle that’s been rotting on their lot for seven months. I was crystal clear about wanting a realistic out-the-door price, and each salesman assured me they could meet my number, promising to “get aggressive” to earn my business. What followed was a masterclass in manipulation and incompetence. On Saturday morning, the third salesman claimed he’d check with management to confirm my deal and call me back “shortly.” An hour later, no call. I had to chase him down, only to hear he hadn’t even bothered to ask yet. I reiterated that I wasn’t making the two-hour round trip without a guaranteed price. Another hour passed—still no call. When I followed up again, he admitted he’d pitched management a completely absurd deal ($13k off the internet price) that I never asked for, claiming they were “offended.” Offended? They should be, because it was irrelevant to my request! He promised to go back and ask correctly, but surprise—another hour wasted with zero communication. My entire morning was squandered waiting on this clown show. Frustrated but determined, I started the drive, only to receive a vague text 30 minutes in saying management was “willing to work with me” but couldn’t “promise” my number. Red flag number one. Upon arrival, we test-drove the truck, and the salesman casually mentioned mandatory dealer add-ons totaling $8K for nonsense like GPS, PPF, and tint. I firmly stated I wouldn’t pay a dime for these garbage fees, and he assured me it wasn’t an issue. Lies. Inside, I waited hours—clearly not a priority—despite being pre-approved by RBFCU and ready to buy. When the salesman finally returned with a manager, they dropped the bombshell: the advertised internet price was a sham, only achievable if I qualified for 10+ obscure incentives (Costco, USAA, Stellantis financing, military/LEO, etc.). This bait-and-switch tactic is straight-up sleazy and designed to deceive customers. They acted like they were doing me a favor by “qualifying” me for some of these, but the real kicker came with their offer: not only did they tack on the $8K in add-ons, but they also lowballed my trade-in by $6K. The final out-the-door price? A disgusting $20K over the internet price they lured me in with. When I called out their deceitful tactics, they didn’t care. They refused to budge, showing zero remorse for wasting my time, lying repeatedly, and trying to rob me blind with a smile. Boerne Dodge treats customers like fools, using predatory practices that are less ethical than an outright thief. This dealership is a stain on the industry. BUYER BEWARE: Save your time, money, and sanity—go ANYWHERE else! More
