Terrible Dealer - Jordan
I purchased a 2006 Volkswagen GTI from here back in June of 2016. It needed new brakes, tires, and the headliner was completely down. The owner told me everything would be fixed after I bought the car. The day I bought the car I went out back to see it and I saw them “repairing” my headliner (the cloth on the roof of the interior) with Elmer’s wood clue and a stick... needless to say, the minute I drove off the lot, the headliner came down. Didn’t fix the brakes or give me new tires which are still bald because I can’t afford new ones.
I went into the shop easily over 50 times in the last year and they always told me “we ordered your headliner by t can take a while to get here” so after a year I was getting really annoyed but still hoped that they would do the right thing and fix it. So I called them exactly 1 year from my purchase date and was told to stop being an idiot and they hung up on me 3 times just for asking when they were going to fix it. I am currently planning to take them to court due to the fact that because they didn’t change the brakes, my entire car needs a lot of work. The headliner has completely come down and I had to staple it back up but I can’t drive with my windows down. Honestly the worst company and customer service I have ever seen and their customer prove it. I’ve heard him on the phone with other customer sayin “it’s not my problem anymore” or “you bought it “. If you’re going to buy a car, do yourself a favor and skip over Savic Auto Brokers. Terrible people
Run for the hills - Jen
They sounded a bit unprofessional over the phone, but I didn't want to place judgement solely on that, though I probably should have. We called four times. The first time, they were supposed to call us back, but did not. We had to call them a second time. The third time, we called to let then know we were coming and the guy, Dakota, sounded like a smart xxx. The fourth time we called, was to tell them that we were on our way.
We got there and it seemed as if the employees were permitted to smoke inside of the waiting area because it smelled horrible. Since I am a non-smoker, I could barely stomach that. The salesman, Dakota, introduced himself and took us outside to view the vehicle.
While we were looking at the car, looking at the motor, etc., Dakota didn't want to let it run because he stated that there was hardly any gas in it, which was the other reason why we couldn't take it for a test drive. We wanted to look at some other things, but he wanted to go back into the building because he complained that it was cold.
Dakota said that he would take it to the back, put air in the tires and gas in the vehicle. As we were waiting for that to take place, in the smoke filled area, a gentleman began looking at the same car with another salesman. Dakota began to badmouth the gentleman, stating that he had been over there a few times to look at the vehicle, but had not made a decision yet. Dakota then began to use foul language in front of us, which made us feel very uncomfortable.
Without us getting a good look at the vehicle and without us being able to take it for a test drive, Dakota wanted to look at the vehicle that I brought for a trade in. At that point, with all of the other circumstances that were involved during our visit to this dealership, what I really wanted to do was leave and I did indeed express that I wanted to go. However, I did say that we would come back.
Dakota didn't like hearing that. He sucked his teeth and let out a long sigh. He had a bit of a cocky attitude and was unprofessional. I decided not to return after that. It was a bad experience.

Bad Experience - savyguy
I'm a past customer of Bill DeLuca who owns this dealership. I bought a gorgeous LeSabre years ago at Woodworth, then a Lucurne at their Haverhill location 3 years ago. My purchase of the leSabre was awesome, as well as with the Lucerne, but both those cars ended up a money pit. I went to Auto Use last weekend, it was very bitter cold out and windy. I attempted to assess a Lincoln MKZ and then a Buick Lacrosse. On BOTH cars, the seat heaters were NOT working, and the power controls for the Lincoln driver seat were pretty much in shabby shape. The sales man Dave Parker was OK, telling me they could fix those seats and heaters for me. Well, they should've been tested/fixed BEFORE being put on the lot for sale! I walked away. I'll do my future business with other than DeLuca in the future.
Typical lying sales people - A Holland
Lie and tell you you're definitely approved with the money you say you have down and after looking at your credit. Then never answer calls or texts again. Went in in person the salesman literally hid and had someone say he wasn't in even though I saw him
Prefer them for the worst experience - gkhnv
The dealer is not even worth a 1 star. Chris is a crook and never believe his sweet talk. He lies you and never gets embarrassed. They dont keep their word. He offered a 1 month warranty but never backed it. There had been several problems with the car even in the first month but the only thing he said was that is your car dont write to me. When I asked to have they did not even provide CarFax report. They have not done emission inspection, there are 3 different tires on car and a lot more. Whatever he says double check another 1000 times. I prefer you not to go this place unless you wish your worst car buying experience. I spent on car already $2k and there is still waiting to be repaired after 'a so called-excellent condition' car I bought.
Glad we didn't buy it - AM
Last Saturday we drove to Hobbs to look at a 2003 Chevy Silverado (25000 miles). The truck was at the body shop to fix a dent on the door so we were unable to see it.
In good faith, because they seemed honest and the truck a good deal, we made a $100 deposit (refundable if we changed our mind) to have 1st look at it when ready. We told them that we would be back today. We got there and Frank took us to the truck telling my husband to hop in and go for a ride (he didn't seem too happy with my husband looking around, opening the hood, looking under it).
There was a fair amount of rust (crumbling to touch) by the back wheels and a very strong anti-freeze smell (as well as wetness) when you opened the hood.
We voiced our concerns, he said there was no leakages and that he drove 150miles with the truck and no fluids needed to be added, and that the rust was normal and the piece could be replaced in a year or 2 for $10...
We told him that we would like our mechanic to look at it, he said that the truck wasn't going anywhere - he failed to understand that we would buy it and return if our mechanic found anything wrong with it.
When I asked about his return policy he said that we would still have to pay/finance it and that makes all more complicated... Frank called my husband "just a guy off the street", had an extremely rude and condescending attitude. When Frank refused to even talk about negotiating a price (almost $1500 more than KBB shows) we left. He sounded seriously pissed off, told us he didn't know how to refund our card for the deposit and that Julie would take care of it... we'll see how long that takes!
This man needs a serious crash course in customer service!!!
If you are looking at this 2003 Chevy, be careful and make sure you take a good look - and take a good whiff when you open the hood!!
Bad product, worse customer service - Jillsno21
Do not buy a vehicle from this establishment! Not only did the subpar vehicle I purchased have lots go wrong with it weeks after I drove it off the lot, but the employees Jon, Steve & Jay, and messed up the paperwork with the warranty company and straight up lied about taking the steps to fix it. The end result was me spending hours on the phone. Nobody seemed apologetic and in fact seemed surly. Bad product, bad customer service
I got exactly what I thought I was getting... - KingPin
Ryan and 1023 Motors are easy going and friendly for sure. I bought a used car there with lots of miles on it and knew it would need some time and TLC to make it right for me and my daughter but that's how it is when you buy a higher mileage older car. We took care of it and now it's fine.
It's a sweet little used car that should be good for years to come.
I would go back to 1023 Motors again the next time I am looking for a car.
Do your homework, bring a friend who knows something about cars, ask questions...
GREAT TRUCK...COULDN'T BE HAPPIER - Joey2014
I recently needed to get a new truck, I didn't want to go through another winter in my current one. Being someone with "not so great credit" the process of shopping and getting the truck I want can be pretty tricky. I did some searching online and came across a bunch of nice trucks and called the dealership. The owner Bob answered and was really nice and told me about all the different trucks. I told him I had a credit problem and he let me know they specialize in finance and would be able to help . When I got there Bob greeted me and brought me out and had the truck I was interested in sitting near the door. He let me take it for a test drive by myself. I took it for a test drive and really liked it. I got back and expected the finance aspect of the sale to be difficult. Bob worked with me and helped me get a loan which was a lot better than I expected. I am really happy that I chose this dealership to go to. I got the truck I wanted and a loan better than I expected. I would and have already recommended this dealership to my friends.
Excellent Service, nice people, nice selection. - KarenO
I went to buy my first used car, I usually buy brand new. They had many to choose from. I picked out a Ford Taurus and it runs fantastic. I have had it almost a year now with minor issues. Good people, nice place to buy a used car.
I have purchased and owned many cars but never ever have... - blokk
I have purchased and owned many cars but never ever have I been more taken advantage of than I was here. My 17 year old son has worked very hard to save his money to buy a nice diesel pickup. Having lived in town and passed this dealer many times, it seemed they always had newer used vehicles on the lot. My son and I stopped in, looked at several vehicles on the lot and was then told by Pete, the salesman that they had just the vehicle for us. They had a 2001 Duramax that hadn't even cleared their shop to be on the lot. We looked at it and took it for a ride. Everything seemed fine.
Never having owned a diesel, I voiced my concern with diesels and stories of injector problems and the cost to fix them. I asked how to tell if there was a problem. He told me loss of power is an indictor and that this truck was strong, that there wasn't a problem. We purchased the truck. I should have known from the night we brought the truck home there was going to be problems. As my son backed into the driveway for the first time, both reverse lights didn't work. We called the next day and they said to bring it in and they would fix. He did that and they fixed it. Then the real problem started.
Days after we bought the truck, the check engine light started coming on. Again, they seemed more than happy to help. My son brought it back in, fuel issue or so we thought. They asked where we got gas, (from a popular brand name station) They told us that could be the problem, that they were known for bad diesel. My son did what they said to do, continued to have problems, brought the truck back and eventually we were told they refused to fix the truck. We contacted someone and was told the error code that was generated had something to do with the injectors.
They refused to fix the truck, refused to give us our money back and basically held us hostage. We had to pick a truck from the inventory they had on the lot. My son did select a truck, not a diesel. Although it seems to be a decent truck, it is not what he wanted but we had no choice. One of the owners, Jim was rude to my wife, not helpful and when my wife told him that we would never go back to them he said "good".
I can't believe the indifference shown by this dealership and will tell everyone I know not to go there. It's unfortunate that they probably will either fix the vehicle my son wanted at cost and mark it up as to not take the loss or sell it to another unsuspecting buyer who won't put up the fuss that we did and be out the cost of repair which is substantial. I hope that person reads this before getting taken advantage of.
Terrible - vinmunster
I found the truck perfect truck for me. I have been looking for a few months. I live almost 4 hours away, in Maine. I dealt online with one of the sales people. The truck I wanted was listed for $39,995, and it books for only $36,000. I understand starting high, to try to get book value out of a vehicle, I have no problem, with that. I asked for a price, and the quoted me $37,500. OK... Fine. They are still asking far too much for the truck, but maybe it's because they are worried that I am going to try to trade in some junk that they have to show me more money for than it's worth. So, I ask if they can give me an idea of what they would give me for my truck. They tell me they certainly can, if I provide pictures and the VIN. So, I did. 4 days later, nothing, another day goes by and I tell them I really need to know what they can do for me, so I can make plans to drive to NH on my only day off of the week. Still, nothing. So, I submit another internet lead and ask what the delay is. One of the Owners, Bob, replies back and says he doesn't know what I am talking about, because there is a log of e-mails back and forth between the sales person and myself. I said yes, but he told me he would get me an estimate on my trade, and never has. Bob then replies "we are not just going to throw a number out there, it's time to call us or stop by with the trade, we have gone as far as we can with emails" Just like that. No proper grammar or anything. So, I replied that it was very disappointing that I was told six days prior that they could give me a figure, and it wouldn't be a problem. I explain I buy a truck every 18-24 months (which is no exaggeration, though it's closer to every year). So, then a different owner, Mike, replies "Hi Mike your trade is a little too new for us. Thank you for your time" I have a 2013 Chevy Silverado Z71 Crew Cab. They have two 2013s available for sale, as well as a 2015. Terrible customer service! Also, never in the last 18 years and 16 cars I've had, have I ever been told I can't get a reasonable estimate over the phone or online. I even told them about the small things like it will need new tires, and has a small dent. I was up front and honest with them. That's all I asked for from them, and they couldn't deliver.
Bought a used car from Carlson's......very bad experience - Dawnlp
I had brought my car into Carlson's for an inspection and was told it was junk and wouldn't pass inspection. Feeling devastated and at the end of a month I need a vehicle within 5 days. They sold me a Chrysler Pacifica that appeared to be in great shape. I took it for a short test drive on a smooth road and it felt okay. I was used to driving a sportier vehicle so it was different. Within 48 hours I noticed that the left front strut bounced a lot after hitting bumps. I brought the car back a week later to have them check the strut when they inspected it per telephone conversations there. They checked it, said they couldn't find anything and slapped a NH inspection sticker on it. I brought it back 5 days later because when you hit a bump on the highway you had to hold onto the wheel with two hands as the left front made the car bounce around, and on the highway this was concerning, as well as the AC stopped working. They ended up replacing the left front strut as they were told from the beginning it was bad and they replaced the left front tie rod that was also bad, which caused them to realign the vehicle and they zapped a small dose of AC Freon as a temporary fix (this lasted a couple days). I received a voice mail from the owner telling me that I did not have an extended warranty on the vehicle, that they fixed these issues out of their good will, and that it all went unappreciated....I still have this voicemail saved if anyone wants to hear it. I had been a loyal service customer there for years, and this is how they treat you when you buy a car from them. I do not like to leave negative reviews, but felt I had to. If they do this to a regular customer I cannot imagine what they would do if I weren't. I have since have had to take the car to a new garage and have the condenser replaced $525 out of my pocket. Shame on Carlson's for treating a customer like this.....a former customer.
