what I’m going through is horrible .I bought a vehicle early October at sunrise Volkswagen . The vehicle is a certified pre-owned 2016 Volkswagens wagon beetle. The weekend I first had the car the window stopped working . I drive to Boston that same weekend and my tires popped for no reason. I took it in to get fixed. The next repair was the entire cars dash board would stay on after the key was removed and I was able to change gear shifts . The cars dash board would also shut off if the car stopped . The third time I took it for the exact same electric issue and the breaks. I feel so uncomfortable in my car and I have pleaded with Volkswagen. The mechanics to the Volkswagens Representative has agreed that the car is unsafe to drive . I was sold a faulty car . I’m not able to drive this car because I have a fear it’s going to power off while driving . I have requested a vehicle change through Volkswagen and they have agreed against it . I’m in tears over a vehicle I am not able to drive . I have driven that car a week a month with the amount of times I have had to take this car in to service. Vince is a sweet heart . Junior and Anthony have been super accommodating. Andrew made a promise he obviously can’t keep. My first car my dream car has been a disaster. I’m 24 years old and honestly worked very hard for this car and I’m not even able to use it . I’m doing payments for something that I’m terrified to use

Refath was fantastic! He really took his time with us, and explained everything. He went over the options, and had answers for all of our questions. There were a few snags (not his fault!) that happened and he made accommodations so we could be on our way that day. Sherette was also a big help!! She helped us with the financial paperwork and was super friendly and fast. Both associates were extremely knowledgeable, and our experience could not have been any better!

With such ready access to the world’s financial center and so many millions of people, it is no small wonder that you can’t get the time of day from the sales team at Open Road. Sure, you’ll get the initial call back, but if you’re looking for a creative solution, this is not the place.
Beautiful facility that is convenient and well maintained, but that rent can’t be cheap, so Open Road does a great job training and seeing to it that service and sales personnel all maximize the drive for higher profit margins.
Pretty tricky, but again with a revolving door of service and sales prospects, don’t expect to get the time of day unless money is no object for you. To that, their vehicle prices seem competitive, but ONLY buy something with warranty coverage or you’ll be in for a world of hurt at the service check out window.
Out of town with a problem? Good luck! Their insatiable drive for profit creates a parts replacement vs. a mechanical diagnosis approach. Eventually they may get it right, but that’s a lot of time and money- especially when they charge 3x for basic services and try to replace brand new components on you.. Be prepared to grab your wallet and RUN!
With VWs new warranty program, Open Road’s approach may actually work out for them, but this transition to a warranty based service philosophy delivery model will take time before they can purge New York from older inventory requiring repairs.
Then, when you’re willing to sacrifice value for convenience and work a trade, you’re completely out of luck. They are not interested and will prove that via a lowball value for your car..even one that had been properly VW maintained for its entire life. Compared to their own online trade value calculator, expect to be offered only 1/3 of what they themselves calculate as value. Crazy. Go elsewhere, this is not their business model.
The Audi sister shop, at least, had salesmen who’d make an effort. But then again, those guys charge a flat 790,00 Admin Fee on top of every deal. Know that going in, as it is not initially revealed. Is VW the same? Who knows, but be alert.
Other than that, nice people! I wish them well and they might succeed once cars become full appliances like refrigerators or air conditioners. Until then, tread lightly!

As someone in sales, you’d think that I would enjoy the sport of buying a new car. I don’t. I’m incredibly busy and don’t have time during my work day to field calls from salespeople with their BS nor am I interested in haggling in a dealership and waste a Saturday.
I contacted multiple dealerships via email stating that I wanted to do as much of this over email as possible, but only Anika and Gensinger was willing to do so AND give me all the information I asked for when breaking down the price. I’d already driven the car and knew exactly what I wanted, and she was awesome in getting competitive on price and had all of the documents ready to go once I arrived. I was in/out WITH a full walkthrough of the car’s tech in less than an hour.
I can’t recommend Aika enough - she’s even followed up twice to see how we like our new car.

I purchased a 2011 VW GTI and along with it a $599 "Vehicle Tire and Wheel Guarantee". The former business manager (now Ryan Agosti) pulled out a photo of a damaged wheel and recommended this covered. He ensured by that any damage to the wheels would be covered under this agreement. A year later I attempted to fix minor scrapes on the wheels at New Country and was told that the stock wheels on my vehicle were not covered based on the way they are manufactured. I contacted Ryan Agosti and explained everything. She claimed to have checked with her boss, Tom Coppinger who said there would be no refund whatsoever. The only reason this was purchased would be to cover the wheels- based on the guidance of the dealership themselves.
