I'm 68 years old and over the years my wife and I have purchased many a car. This was far and away the best experience we ever had. The salesperson, Steve Sherman was personable, knowledgeable and experienced. He was helpful, patient and attentive without being pushy in any way. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted. We bought a 2019 Ascent. You can't really know how good someone is until things go wrong. The color and package we wanted was not on the lot. Rather than have to wait for several weeks for delivery, as my wife's car had died, Steve located what we wanted at a dealership in Delaware and offered to drive an Ascent from Catonsville and trade it for ours the next day (his day off). When he picked it up, he noticed a dent on the roof and was told a tree limb had fallen on it. The other dealership offered to try to pull out the dent but he wisely refused the car. He located another one in southern Virginia and arranged for a driver to transport it to Catonsville that evening. Unfortunately that car was involved in a 4 vehicle accident and was seriously damaged. The next day Steve located a car in Pennsylvania and transported it himself. We got our car less than 24 hours after the first car had been promised. Both Steve and the rest of the staff at Heritage Subaru were wonderful during this entire frustrating process. They gave us several extras at no cost even though it was clear what we were committed to going through with the purchase. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

While having the 2017's oil changed, I talked to Sanjay Fitzgerald (a most personable young gentleman) and made an offer on a 2019 Outback that I could afford. This offer was far below what my research suggested would be acceptable. With no hassle the deal was accepted and a few hours later I drove my new 2019 home. I had spent some time looking for this particular AMG model and found it some 450 miles from my home. I was somewhat apprehensive going into the deal, as I hadn't actually seen or driven the vehicle until I got to the dealership.
Julius Elad in the sales croup was very helpful over the phone in the days leading up to my travel to the dealership. Julius was very responsive with any information request I had and when it came time to travel to the vehicle location he picked me up at the airport and got me to the dealership.
The whole experience was fantastic, starting with Sales group, working with Brad on the paper work and learning the details of the vehicle with Merlin.
Oh...and the 450 mile drive back to NE was great too!

We drove from Whippany,NJ to purchase a Chrysler 200. It took 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to West Chester, PA and it turned out to be worth every minute. The manager John, and main salesman, also John, were great to work with! They honored the advertised price, there were no extra fees, they did not try to add on any special warranties, it was wonderful. Their documentary fees were lower than NJ fees and because I was not taking a loan, I was able to save on the added registration and title fees by agreeing to the option of getting them myself in NJ. It was a most pleasurable experience. I love the car. The only thing that happened on the way home from the dealership was that we missed our exit off one of the highways. I was so excited about driving the car that we added an extra 80 minutes to our trip back! Highly recommend the John L Smith dealership, they are honest, friendly, and in a lovely location!
