This was the WORST experience I've experienced purchasing a car at a dealership in the last 50 years. I am giving them NO stars.
I live over 35 miles away from Lehman Genesis in Miami Gardens Florida and made a call to get a purchase price on a new $50,600 (sticker price) 2019 Genesis G70 in November 2019. Javon (salesman) gave me a purchase price of $44,500. They would not meet the price they quoted me when I arrived. I went there and the sales manager BELITTLED me by trying to change my mind from paying in full for the car to leasing the car saying several times to me that it was a NO BRAINER to lease. He said I could make a couple of payments and then pay the car off. I insisted multiple times that I was writing a check in full (checkbook was on Javon's desk in plain sight). The sales manager threw Javon under the bus in front of me. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL. I wasn't happy and walked out. They never asked me about being a veteran or if I had a competitive car for some rebates. I really wanted that car so 3 weeks later I called and they agreed to the $44,500. After I paid for the car in FULL a couple of days later Javon called and asked if I was a veteran and/or had a competitive car. My answer was YES to both. I provided them with copies of my DD214 (separation from the military form) and my Lexus registration. and sent them copies of both. I've been trying to get the money from them for many months. Finally a few days ago a sales manager called me and said I signed the papers giving them all rebates. They never asked about being a veteran or having a competitive car until a day or two after I signed the papers. They also sold the car with damaged chrome moldings around all side windows. The lied to me and ripped me of for $1500.00 for the two rebates. I called and asked to speak to the General Manager (not the General Sales Manager) of the dealership and I was connected to Kyle who posed as the GM. He was not helpful and when I called back he wouldn't come to the phone until I called back again and insisted on speaking to Kyle. He called the service manager and said he was coming to his office. He told me he was going over the service manager; office and would call me back in 2 minutes - It been many months and still no return call. I went to another Genesis dealer and was told that the sales department at Lehman did not remove the protect material in a timely fashion which damaged the chrome moldings. A couple of weeks ago I called Genesis corporate office and told them everything I'm writing here. I told them I would not deal with them anymore and wanted to get my moldings replaced and all the troubles I experienced. So what does corporate do, they have the dealership call me. Veterans BEWARE…Everyone BEWARE…
