search for a different vehicle - Em42
We had some issues with our old vehicle, and the service department at Les Mack Ford was absolutely great in working to make things right. They did all the maintenance and repairs from the time the vehicle was new, and always did it in a polite and professional manner.
When it came time to purchase a new vehicle, we knew we would be given a fair trade in value for our old SUV.
Working with the sales people was truly a pleasure as we talked about the type of vehicle that would best serve our needs. I would like to thank Gary Whittaker for showing us what was available and answering all our questions. After making the decision to go with a new F-150, and all the "dealing"was done, Gary went over all the aspects of the operation of the truck and the options it came with. He is very knowledgable with the Ford Sync system, and getting it personalized to us was done quickly and effortlessly!
That's the way it is at Les Mack Ford!! Every person there knows their job and does it well and with a smile!
A stressful experience made easy - Dolphin
My car was dying. It's 16 years old and was slowly going downhill. I ended up making the decision to lease a 2017 Ford Focus from Pioneer Ford. The guys at the dealership made the whole experience as stress free as possible. They laid everything out for me, were honest with me in regards to payments and paperwork and all the other information you need when you lease a car. I would never use another dealership. Mainly because, the car i mentioned that was dying, I originally bought it from them over 12 years ago. I'm a repeat customer for life.
Stop Here First - Allan Sundermeyer
I've been a satisfied customer of Brown's in Elkader for years; since 1993. If you're absolutely in love with your current dealer do yourself a favor and get your best deal, then go to Brown's. I don't care what your vehicle situation is; at the very least go there for any repairs or service needs. They go out of their way to accommodate you. Friendly staff and comfortable waiting area. Plus they give you updates as to where they are on your vehicle's progress.
Ordered multiple custom Transit vans - Lance - Swift Navigation
Order process was easy and we received exactly what we expected. Sales staff was very helpful and worked with us to get the options and outfitting needed so our crews would be effective from day one.
Looking for a pickup - EdSass
I was looking for a used pickup but you guys had a left over 2016 so I bought it. I was really happy with the 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn. Everything was great I loved it. Then we went camping pulling the camper. Everything was going good until all of a sudden it just quit running!!!!!!!!! It only had a little over 2800 miles!!!!!!! I wasn't a happy camper pulling a camper on our 1st time out pulling it and it quit running!!!!!!!! Now I need a new motor. Even though it's under warranty it's just the principal I don't have my new pickup because it's BROKE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a waste of time - jody911
Purchased my car from Gene Lorsung at Junge Center Point. Should have gone here first and saved a lot of anguish and time. Not only did he bring my car from North Liberty he spent the time answering all my questions he also showed us the features on the car. He listened to us when we advised we had other financing and was very professional about it. No pressure for us and reassurance we made the right choice. Thanks Gene for making this so simple. My recommendation would be to start here. You won’t be disappointed
“Not our fault, not our problem” attitude - Walker15
I would like to inform the public about the negative experiences I have had with Freese Motors in Monticello, Iowa, since buying my Edge there in August of 2016. I urge you to take my experience into account before purchasing or servicing a vehicle there.
I am a strong supporter of local business, which is why I decided to buy a vehicle from Freese. I am now regretting my decision. In my experience, nothing is ever "their fault" or "their problem" (even though all of the problems I've experience with my vehicle have most certainly been their fault), and their service man, Jim, is the most unfriendly service man I have ever met in any industry.
Most recently, the wheel on my Edge that Freese sold to me in August 2016 almost fell off because they failed to tighten the lug nuts before letting us drive it off the lot (despite the certified pre-owned checklist the vehicle supposedly underwent). They are the only ones to have touched my vehicle since I have owned it, so this was definitely their mistake. I don't like to think about what would have happened if that wheel had fallen off at 70 mph...I probably wouldn't be here to write this review. Freese's initial attitude was "not our fault...not our problem." (Verbatim from Jim.) After further discussion, they finally agreed to own up to their mistake and cover the $1,000 of resulting damage.
Aside from this major issue, Freese ruined the dash glass in my Edge by cleaning it with the wrong cleaner before selling it to us and rather than admitting their mistake, they blamed Ford for a "faulty part," and the warranty covered the replacement part. (It wasn't ruined during our test drive. It was definitely their fault.)
Freese also forgot to give me a spare key fob when I bought my vehicle and later when I needed my spare, they had to come to my house to install it. They tried charging us for their mistake and never apologized for forgetting. Again, they had a "not our fault" attitude. Needless to say, we didn't pay that bill.
Finally, for a rental vehicle they gave me a beat up mini van with no breaks to drive 45 minutes to work while my year-old vehicle was in their shop...NOT a safe situation.
I encourage you to consider Freese's "not our fault/problem" and "we don't care about our customers" attitude the next time you think about doing business with them. I know I will never set foot in their doorway again. They lost a potential lifelong customer, but they probably don't care. Their customers obviously do not matter to them anyway.
Great dealership, car has been great so far. Easy to... - swoosh1530
Great dealership, car has been great so far. Easy to work with and I was in and out of there within an hour of buying the car.
Only problem is that most of the employees are Green Bay Packers fans. Being a Chicago Bears fan, it's frustrating to see people make bad choices like that.
Horrible Experience - blam66
My wife and I bought a car from Pinicon in Independence, Iowa, but it wasn't until after we had signed the papers and handed them the check when they told us the transmission had recently been changed. They also told us it comes with a life time warranty. Needless to say we started having trouble with the transmission and the engine light was coming on within 6 months of buying the car, so we gave them a call and setup a time to bring it in. Once there we sat an waited for over an hour until the guy from the shop finally comes out to tell us it is a wire rubbing next to the transmission that is causing all the problems and it will take just a few minutes to fix. They fix the wire and then hands me a bill for $171.74 and tells me it is all labor charges. A wire the shop manager said would take just a few minutes to fix and should not have cost us one cent. They sold us a piece of crap and the service agreement for the life time transmission is a joke! I will never return to this dealership!
