Just drove an hour and a half to Ray CJD in Fox Lake. Couldn't be Happier. I dealt with a few local Jeep Dealerships and it was the same old false advertising prices listed on line to get you in the door. Jessica at Ray's Internet Department was straight forward with everything she said. She assured me that nothing will change once i take the drive. Dan the manager also called me to reassure me. So feeling good about this i took the drive. They had the car upfront and detailed when i arrived. Raneesha was my sales rep and did a wonderful job going over all my questions and explaining a lot of features i wasn't aware of. After the test drive we went inside and the manager Dan came to introduce himself. After answering a few standard questions with Raneesha i was assured that the numbers we discussed prior to coming were all the same. Next thing you know, we were in the finance office with Ozzie and signing paperwork. He explained what i was signing and went over all my options. The whole process from when we arrived to leaving was no longer than 40 minutes. This has been my best experience purchasing a car and i will strongly recommend Ray Jeep to all my family and friends. Thanks for everything and will be back for my next lease!

I have taken my 2011 Dodge Durango in a few times to the Express oil change. My shortest wait time has been 1 1/2 hours-longest 2 hours. This is hardly express. I had requested a car wash with this past oil change. Not only did I wait 1 1/2 hours my vehicle was never washed. I will not be returning to this dealership for my future oil changes. I’ve had good experiences for other service matters, but the Express oil change needs much improvement.

On 11/15/18 I contacted this dealer via email with one request. I wanted to know the total price of the vehicle before I drove 4 hours to see a 2017 Kia Forte. No issues w/ the listed price. But I want to know the total price to include dealer fees and taxes. No trades involved. I explained I'm willing to put down $3,000 as well.
So Alexa Rodriguez responds and says she cannot provide a final price. When I ask why? She states, "We don't want there to be any error in the price."
Alexa, that is the most ridiculous response I've ever heard. I have to purchase a different vehicle every year since I travel for work. This isn't my first car buying experience. I've purchased 16 vehicles from dealerships and this is the only one in which I've received the response, "Sorry, we can't give you the price because we don't want there to be any errors."
Alexa, the final price would be the same whether I'm standing there in your dealership or contacting you from 200 miles away. I don't want my time wasted. I would appreciate the same courtesy. I'm okay with dealer fees and taxes but those amounts vary widely amongst dealers.
Knowing how ridiculous Alexa's response was, I replied and asked what do you do for those customers that want to obtain their own financing? Do you tell them as well you can't give them a price? Ridiculous. Needless to say, Alexa didn't respond afterwards nor did anyone else with the subsequent 2 other requests I sent looking for the total price.
Folks, if a dealer is not willing to give you a total price, avoid at all costs. That means the dealer is using misleading sales tactics to get customers in the door (price listed on website really isn't the price); the dealer is trying to push ancillary products such as extended warranties, cosmetic protection packages, GAP coverage; etc.
Now, let's all wait for the canned response we'll see here soon enough from the "owner" requesting that I contact him/her to discuss the matter further. Mind you I've attempted to contact the dealer 4 times now for a final price. And the staff, once challenged on the ridiculous answer that was provided, has completed avoided responding. You have my name, cell phone #, and email address.
So, to the owner or any other person that responds, you have my contact info. Feel free to reach out. If you're ready to provide me with a final price, I'm looking to buy on Saturday morning (11/17/18).
I'd be happy to revise my review if and when you're ready to provide the final price.
The Worst Used Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had - JAG
James Motor Sales is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. I understand their reviews are really good and that’s why I shopped them. However, my experience was definitely not the same as everybody else’s on here. I traded in my baby a perfect 2005 Chevy Corvette and they have me a decent price on it, however the truck I bought on the trade was anything but. The day after I bought it a CEL came on for spot plugging of exhaust components. The truck ended up being very rusted out underneath when I actually put it up on a lift and had it inspected for a possible undercoat. The steering on the interstate is like driving a school bus from the 30’s and wanders heavily. The transmission Ian leaking and shifts with clunks (and not the normal firmness of a 1 ton truck) noticeable clunking, the diesel emissions system is sooted up hence the code. They reset the code before delivery and I didn’t see it. The truck has scratches all over it once the spray on wax or whatever they used rubbed off, and the door pillars have a plastic material coming off. Not what I expected for a $35,000 truck. After the sale was a nightmare. I told them I was misled on the truck and they blamed it on me and said I should have inspected it better. I asked for my Vette back and to unwind the deal, but of course, nobody wants to give up their commisions like the greedy salesmen they are, so they basically tell me tough luck The Vette was nowhere to be seen, probably the owner or some salesmen taking it home for the weekend on a joy ride. The dealership is horrible, and to do it to a Veteran, and someone who lives nearby in the local community down the road. There was no harm, no foul, but they wouldn’t make it right so here I am, stuck with no transportation because I returned the truck it was so bad. Guess it being for sale for over 6 months should have raised red flags but I just expected a dealership with ratings of this caliber to understand...wrong. Oh well, I’ll make sure everybody in Willis Tower and O’Hare International doesn’t make the same mistake...word of mouth travels extremely quickly in the truck and aviation world.
