Painless paperwork - Happy car owner
Jim was just great with us from the beginning, he was always responsive through text and email. He answered the my questions and the day we came in to tKe a look to the car he had all the information organized and handed to us as soon as we arrived, the car was clean and ready next to the building. The car condition (pre-owned) was really good and the price was great.
Once we decided we would take the deal it just took us about 30-40 minutes to go back home driving my new car.
I would really recommend this dealer and personally Jim Elsloo to any of my friends.

In all my years of buying cars I would say this was one of the good experiences. I had done all my research and was prepared on what I wanted. The Jack Miller staff were pleasant and we met at a middle ground on the price. I got a great deal with the suv I wanted and would do business with them again. That’s saying something as I have purchased through 5 different car dealers thus far. The only bad thing was the length of wait on signing papers due to only having one particular printer and there was a couple ahead of us. But they did check on us often and gave us updates.

I took my Forte in for its 60,000 mile maintenance. The tires were rotated and balanced. It passed all inspection points. They checked that they test drove it, the brake lining was 7mm or greater on all brakes and the tires were good. When I drove home the car was making a loud noise and seemed like something was grinding. I took it back 2 days later and was told the tires were bad and I needed new tires. As I was waiting for new tires, the service consultant came out and told me my front brake pads were really bad, almost just metal. Those were also replaced. I'm upset that this was missed when I took it in the first time. I was leaving for vacation in the mountains and this could have been deadly. I've never had any problems with service here before but this has me really concerned for my safety. Scott Hunt was the service consultant and apologized for it not be caught earlier and didn't charge for labor on the brakes.

There is no way to make this short, so here's my story. Recently I went car shopping, wanting to trade in my 2013 Kia Optima LX on a new Kia car. I was putting $3000 down also, cause I owed more on the loan than the car was worth. My credit is in the 600's which is middle of the pack, so I thought I could get a deal done fairly easily. First I went to Shawnee Mission Kia and they got me a deal on a 2016 Kia Forte LX base model with no features, and wanted outrageous payments for the car.
So I went to Lawrence Kia, biggest waste of my time. They not only didn't get me a deal but acted like they didn't even want to sell me a new car, by their lackluster efforts to get me financed and earn my business. So I went to Briggs Kia which I've purchased 2 other vehicles from, to see what they could do for me. I spoke with my previous and favorite salesman Johnny Pittman and told him what I was wanting to do. He showed me a 2016 Kia Forte EX loaded with all the goodies, and we test drive it. I loved it but thought there was no way I could get into such a great car without making outrageous monthly payments.
We sat down and discussed numbers and what I was trying to accomplish. Due to it being Saturday, most of the banks Briggs deals with were closed so Johnny said he would call me on Monday with what deals they had worked out. Monday Johnny called me like he said he would, but told me they could get a deal done and appologized. I could tell in his voice he was clearly disappointed but I wasn't upset cause I didn't think I could get that car anyways. I thought that was that, but the following day on Tuesday afternoon, Kyle the sales manager called me saying they had a deal worked out with my bank and wanted me to stop by the dealership after work to go over the numbers to see if I approved. Not only did I approve but I was shocked, the payments were lower than Shawnee Mission Kia's deal on the Kia Forte LX base model, but my APR on the loan was less than on my current car loan. I signed The paperwork and drove off in the car of my dreams.
Briggs Kia went above and beyond to get me a great deal and keep my business as a customer. I would recommend Briggs Kia to anyone not wanting the usual car buying experience and to those with less than perfect credit as well. See Johnny Pittman when you stop by, he is their best salesman in my opinion and he's a great person too. Also I can't say enough about Briggs Kia's service department, they only fix what needs to be fixed and never try to sell you stuff or services you don't need. And when they fix something, they do it right the first time. Last but not least, the thing that sets Briggs Kia apart from all other dealerships, is their follow up and continued care after the sale. They don't just sell you a vehicle and that's that, they follow up on every sale and keep you feeling like a valued customer long after the sale!
