A good experience - dodgecar
I had made a call to the dealership saying which car I was interested in. When I got there it was sitting in front so I could look it over. I was greeted by Nick Williams, who quickly helped us with information about the car. Nick answered all our questions about cost and purchase procedures. He informed us about lifetime warranty on the drivetrain. We are glad we dealt with Lawrence Kia and would do it again.

My husband made an appointment by phone the day before because Bob Sight Kia sent us an email with an oil change coupon. We have closer service options but we have always had a great experience with the service there at Bob Sight Kia. I was there a little early and they took me right in and made me feel comfortable. It took less than an hour and I was on my way. I love my Kia Soul and my dealer. Donna
Sales Department Awesome/Service Department HORRIBLE - Tamra Smith
I bought my "certified" used car on February 20, 2018. I was sold on Kia because I had a 2008 Kia Spectra and it was a wonderful car, but had 200,000 miles on it and wanted something that I knew I could depend on, that was the reason for the purchase. The first thing I noticed when I got home with this car that I was assured was thoroughly inspected was skittles stuck to the door and in the door pocket and someones personal information in plain sight in the front door pocket. on it and wanted something that I knew I could depend on, that was the reason for the purchase. When I bought the car the low tire light was on, the dealership told me it was just because of the cold weather and would go off upon warming up. It never did go off. So woke up the next morning and my new "reliable" car wouldn't start, and the tire light was still on after being in a heated garage all night. So called the dealership they sent someone to jump start the car and then took it to the service department. They kept my car for 2 days and gave me a loaner. Picked up my car they said they had to patch a tire, and didn't know why it didn't start, but gave me the car back. When I go into the car the windshield had a crack in it. I picked it up late so called the dealership service department the next morning and they basically said that was my problem, I had to then go to the Sales Manager and he got it fixed. I always told him the tire light was back on. So AGAIN after still not evening owning the car 1 week I had it back in the dealership where they kept it for 4 days. So now Monday evening go to get my car, the service manager again tries to tell me that the tire light was because of the weather, again didn't believe him, but he said they solved the problem and the tire light was off. I got into my car and again the tire light was on so the service manager came out and looked at it and noticed that some patch they had done wasn't working and had to replace it, this is minutes after they just told me they thoroughly looked through the car. So ok, have the car for about a month and go to get in the car and the door handle comes off in my hand. So call service make an appt, miss work again, go to the dealership. Sit in the lobby waiting an hour for them to tell me that I would have to come back because they had to paint the replacement handle again acting like he was doing me a favor by even replacing that handle and would not give me a loaner, even though with bad knees I was having to get in through the passenger door. I went up and talked to the sales manager and he had no problem getting me a loaner car until my car was ready. I then took my keys back to service and miraculously he said he would put a temp handle on my car until the other was painted. I don't know why I had to go to the trouble of talking to the sales manager for the service manager to do what was right. Unfortunately for the sales department, because they have been decent, I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. It has been a horrible experience and now I am sorry I ever bought this car. Not the exciting, fun experience it should be. So incredibly disappointed.
Oil change service was quick I was in and out in 30 minutes. - Maurice L Roberts
I was able to make an appointment for my 1st oil change which was free because I just purchased the kia soul, so that made it even better. Service team was polite and professional.

Dealer lied about a vehicle being sold to try to upsell me - NoMoreDealersForMe
Can I give 0 stars? I went to the Atchison location and the upsells started right away, which I expected. What I didn't expect was to be told when I was about to buy a particular vehicle that it had been sold yesterday by another location (even though it was still in Atchison) and he would have to "find me another vehicle." Translation: he would try to funnel me into something even more expensive.
The story of the car selling at another location when it wasn't even there to test drive didn't make much sense to me, and sure enough, I called St Josephs this morning and not only was the car listed over $400 less than the price quoted in Atchison (he doesn't list the prices on the cars there and tells you what it costs) but it had NOT been sold... there was an appt later today for someone to look at it, but it was ABSOLUTELY NOT SOLD. I was going to go in last night to give the rest of my job verification documentation and make arrangements to buy it this morning, but I will not do business with people who inflate prices and LIE to me.
Definitely do not do business with the Atchison location, but my guess is the company knows perfectly well what he is doing. Congratulations, you lost a sale by being greedy and trying to push me into more expensive vehicles.
Best dealership hands down! - JohnnyPee71
There is no way to make this short, so here's my story. Recently I went car shopping, wanting to trade in my 2013 Kia Optima LX on a new Kia car. I was putting $3000 down also, cause I owed more on the loan than the car was worth. My credit is in the 600's which is middle of the pack, so I thought I could get a deal done fairly easily. First I went to Shawnee Mission Kia and they got me a deal on a 2016 Kia Forte LX base model with no features, and wanted outrageous payments for the car.
So I went to Lawrence Kia, biggest waste of my time. They not only didn't get me a deal but acted like they didn't even want to sell me a new car, by their lackluster efforts to get me financed and earn my business. So I went to Briggs Kia which I've purchased 2 other vehicles from, to see what they could do for me. I spoke with my previous and favorite salesman Johnny Pittman and told him what I was wanting to do. He showed me a 2016 Kia Forte EX loaded with all the goodies, and we test drive it. I loved it but thought there was no way I could get into such a great car without making outrageous monthly payments.
We sat down and discussed numbers and what I was trying to accomplish. Due to it being Saturday, most of the banks Briggs deals with were closed so Johnny said he would call me on Monday with what deals they had worked out. Monday Johnny called me like he said he would, but told me they could get a deal done and appologized. I could tell in his voice he was clearly disappointed but I wasn't upset cause I didn't think I could get that car anyways. I thought that was that, but the following day on Tuesday afternoon, Kyle the sales manager called me saying they had a deal worked out with my bank and wanted me to stop by the dealership after work to go over the numbers to see if I approved. Not only did I approve but I was shocked, the payments were lower than Shawnee Mission Kia's deal on the Kia Forte LX base model, but my APR on the loan was less than on my current car loan. I signed The paperwork and drove off in the car of my dreams.
Briggs Kia went above and beyond to get me a great deal and keep my business as a customer. I would recommend Briggs Kia to anyone not wanting the usual car buying experience and to those with less than perfect credit as well. See Johnny Pittman when you stop by, he is their best salesman in my opinion and he's a great person too. Also I can't say enough about Briggs Kia's service department, they only fix what needs to be fixed and never try to sell you stuff or services you don't need. And when they fix something, they do it right the first time. Last but not least, the thing that sets Briggs Kia apart from all other dealerships, is their follow up and continued care after the sale. They don't just sell you a vehicle and that's that, they follow up on every sale and keep you feeling like a valued customer long after the sale!
