Good value, but backed out of agreement after signing - ktones13
Recently traded in my Focus ST for an Explorer here. Explorer had some missing components in the rear of the center console, so as part of the negotiation, we agreed that a certain value would be provided to me for my trade-in, and these components would be replaced. this was written on paper and signed as a commitment. After a significant amount of back and forth, the dealership agreed to meet the requested trade in value and replace the missing components. It wasn't until I was in the financing office that I was told they would not be honoring their agreement to replace those components. While these components were relatively inexpensive and not difficult to replace myself, the fact that they agreed to a deal and then backed out as I was signing the paperwork bothers me. If they had been up front and just told me that they would not be fixing these parts, I would have still purchased the car. Because they lied about that, I would not choose to go back to this dealership, nor would I recommend them. If a dealership cannot be trusted to follow through on a very low cost signed agreement, how can they be trusted with larger, more expensive and important agreements? My personal recommendation is that you find a different place to buy your next car.

Just had the WORST experience EVER! We started off telling the sales rep what we were looking for. Low mileage, NO leather seats, $10k or under. What he showed us was.. leather interior, over 100k miles, or over $10k. We found a vehicle we liked a little over $10k that he said he could work the price. She is in school, and they said I would have to be the sole buyer. We decided to go ahead with it after speaking to the manager and working price/monthly payments. We were then given to another sales rep. I mentioned i was a REPEAT customer and had gotten a flyer in the mail of $500 off a purchase for being a repeat customer. He told me because i still had TWO (2) months left before my truck was paid off, it didn't apply to me. Which is 100% BS! The loan was going through the EXACT same company i have my present loan with on my truck. Have NEVER missed a payment and 2 months away from it being paid off. At first i was told i was approved. After talking to the second rep, i asked to talk to the manager again. Simply because he seemed the only competent one and we had already spoken and got numbers right where we were all happy. The rep seemed irritated, left the room, came back 2 minutes later and said i had been denied. SOOOoooo, after wasting 3 hours there, i decided to get on my financial page with my current lender. AMAZING... i was pre-approved for a $20k vehicle. PRE-APPROVED! Yet, according to Doggett, i was denied on a $10k vehicle through the SAME lender. WILL NEVER return, will NEVER recommend! Was a total waste of 3 hours with 2 incompetent sales associates.
EDIT: Out of curiosity today, i decided to call WESTLAKE and find out WHY i would have been denied. I was told there hasnt been a loan application with my name since my truck loan years ago. In other words, i was completely LIED to and my loan application was never sent off.
2nd Edit: Went out today looking for another vehicle at a dealership nearby. Was BY AND FAR the best experience ive had buying a new vehicle. We got exactly the vehicle we wanted at a very fair price. The amazing part.. i was approved through THE SAME FINANCIAL COMPANY (WESTLAKE) THAT THESE PEOPLE SAID DENIED ME! And the new loan was more on the new vehicle.
NEVER WASTE YOUR TIME WITH DEALERSHIP!
No Communication-Not a fan - Txhorn48
Noticed an oil smell from my truck. Took it to Chastang because it's close to my job. Made an appointment and dropped it off on 2/6/20 Thursday. Got an estimate on the Monday 2/10/20. Each day, I had to call to get an update and was told they were waiting on some other department and ended the conversation with maybe tomorrow. I actually got more information from a different service technician "Chad" on Saturday 2/8/20 with a quick summary of the diagnosis, but no estimate. Explained my concern about the lack of communication from Jarod and received an estimate late Monday morning. Yesterday, my call ended with I'll find out if it will be ready today, or tomorrow and let you know. Of course, no call came! My most recent call today ended finally with "this afternoon". The only consistent communications I received from Jarod were "I'm so busy", "maybe tomorrow" and "I'll let you know." I would have rented a vehicle if I had known it would take 6 days and counting to get my repairs started and hopefully completed. Chastang may be a great dealership to buy a new vehicle or if you are a fleet customer. For the everyday person that uses their vehicle daily for transportation, don't bother unless you have a rental planned.

Had a good experience today (for being at a car dealership) My salesman Jonathan Berry did a great job of getting me the best deal he could (we had to do the carsalesman dance) but in the end I drove out in a 2020 F-250. Thanks Jonathan. I would recommend Tomball Ford and Jonathan Berry.

If I could give this dealership a zero star rating that... - michaelmtz1
If I could give this dealership a zero star rating that is what I would do. I bought a Ford F150 from AutoNation Ford in Katy TX. I was lied too by the salesman, sales manager, and finance department. They will lie straight to your face and say anything to sell a car. I went to the dealership yesterday and spoke to a finance manager. He told me he couldn't help me. I called the dealership today this time asking for a sales manager. They transferred me then the the line lost connection. Was it intentional? Maybe it was an accident. I called them back and let the lady know they hung up on me. She apologized then transferred me straight to the sales managers voice mail. I left a voice mail but he never called me back. I guess that is how management services the dealerships customers. These guys will explain while misinterpreting the sales and finance documents to you. Once you sign your screwed. The dealership made its sale. They got what they wanted now they are done with you. I'll updated my post later just to let everyone know how this all turns out.
