We have purchased several vehicles at Don Davis Lake Jackson. Leta Wisenbaker is a great sales person, very helpful in finding the vehicle you are looking for and works with you to try to get the deal you want. Charlie at the service department is very great at answering the question you have about the vehicle and Chris in finance was super.

My Buick Salesman is the Best! - Magistratish
Buying a car can be one of rhe most stressful events a person can face. However, when you work with Eugine Martin at Sterling McCall Buick GMC, it can be like a walk in the park.
My new Buick Envision is the 2nd car I have purchased with his guidance and I am not only pleased, but excited to be in a brand new vehicle. His knowledge of available vehicles and what is a good idea for "seasoned" individuals like my husband and me made this process easy and not stressful at all!
Please look him up on the Southwest Freeway when you are in need of a new or pre-owned vehicle. He's the best!
Crooked!! - MofTSC
Bought a used vehicle here. Has been in the shop 3 times in the 3 weeks that we have had it. The guy above all the salesman is so rude and made every experience feel like it was our fault and talked down to us. He got called out on his crooked lies at the end of it. We will NEVER do business with them again. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with the guy. One guy ruined it all. Oh and the rental they set us up for? Closes before we can even get there.
New GMC 2500 - Leick1950
I got a great deal at Covert on my new vehicle. This is the 4th vehicle I have purchased from Covert. My salesman, Steve Sarich, worked hard to get me a great deal.
Incommunicative, Unprofessional, Misinformed! - dinoplativola
True definition of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service is how I would describe my experience at Cavender GMC/Buick. I was incredibly disappointed with their service. I inquired about a used car and originally worked with Adam Ochoa and Roger Rivera (sales manager?). After a few days of planning, I was able to make a trip from Austin to San Antonio on 02/18/19 to test drive the car I wanted. I was looking to make a decision fairly quickly. Upon arrival, Daniel Ramirez was assigned to us. Adam came by to introduce himself, and both salesmen made sure to emphasize they took turns being the “Salesman of the Month”. After being presented with hypothetical numbers, I decided to move forward with my credit application. I requested to be run with my credit union first (preferred lender). While I waited, Daniel spent his time offering a $960 “insurance” for tires, paint, and leather conditioning. Despite asking about the price and terms of the bumper-to-bumper warranty Cavender offered, I did not receive an answer better than “It covers anything the light touches”, but no price or terms. I was declined for financing with the Credit Union, which I was prepared for (I am rebuilding credit). I spoke to Ron (finance) and agreed to run my credit with two more lenders. After an hour wait, Daniel came back to the sales floor to inform me I was approved with one of the lenders, with a higher down-payment. I requested the full terms and conditions of the loan to discuss them with my husband, and his response was “I don’t have them” (first attempt). Daniel said he would find out, and call me. At this point, I had spent SEVERAL hours at Cavender and decided to drive back to Austin. I did not hear back from Daniel that day. My husband and I decided we could offer a 50% down-payment if we could get a low note, OR purchase the vehicle cash if it was the best option for our family. I reached out to Daniel the next morning (02/19/2018) at 11AM to request the terms (second attempt). He responded finance had the paperwork, but I would get a response as soon as possible. I called again at 2:30PM and was told they were swamped and he needed to call me back. At 5:45PM I reached out to him, yet again, and he responded “Still Swamped” (third attempt). I decided to reach out to Roger in hopes of obtaining the terms of the loan and I was told he would “look in to it” (fourth, and last attempt). By the end of the day, I still did not have the terms of the loan I got approved for. After wasting our time with this dealership, we decided to apply for a loan through the same Credit Union directly, and went to CARMAX in Austin (famous for no haggle pricing). We drove our new car home yesterday! In the end, we walked out with a much better deal. We paid a relatively comparable amount for a newer car, with less miles, luxury package.. and the price included bumper-to-bumper warranty! The car I wanted had been at Cavender for over 180 days when I went to see it, and last I checked, it’s still sitting in their lot. Save yourself the headache, this dealer is not doing YOU a favor. Spend your money wisely, and go elsewhere. You won’t regret it!
Bad Times At The Nash Royale - boysct2
Just got back from another bad experience at Chuck Nash. Been trying to get my car fixed since April and every time it's a different person every time, but they same run-around. Except last time I dealt with the xxx. customer service manager. When my check engine light came on(again) I sent him an e-mail and heard nothing back. I bring my car in 3 weeks later and he had no idea who I was or what was going on. They just want my warranty to expire on the part so they don't have to replace it for free. If you have anything wrong with your car DO NOT GO HERE!!
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP - Angry Consumer
If I could give this dealership and product a zero star rating I would. I have a 2017 GMC Sierra with 20k miles and have owned it for less than 8 months. This truck has been in the shop almost 8 times with transmission issues. If you go online and Google problems with 2017 gmc transmission shudder you will see that there is a huge problem with the new trucks. GMC DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION! Cavender knows the product is faulty and still sells the trucks! Please please please dont spend your hard earned money on junk! Go somewhere else and with a different product. Cavender can careless.
Latest issue: cannot get gear into park.
Questable repair work - Not Happy
I have a 2016 GMC Denali 3500HD with less than 25000 miles brought to dealer with steering box leaking and a lot of play in steering and while the truck was in for service I let them do a oil change and lube. They replace steering box and change oil. Picked up truck and drop off my 2014 GMC pickup for a/c blowing hot air. Still had play in steering. Got under truck to take a look, notice steering box leaking grease and no boot covering shaft coming out of steering box, splash plate covering steering box area was warped on one side and bolt hole areas were cracked and fracture, and truck was not lubed during oil change. Returned truck to dealer to get above fixed. They now said it’s was a wore out idle arm so they replace it and adjusted toe. They replace boot on steering box shaft (which they forgot first repair) and splash shield.did not lube truck again. Play in steering gone but now have a vibration in steering wheel witch I didn’t have before. Without them test driving now the problem is my tires. Being a xxxxxxx to prove a point I went to a tire dealer and purchase 6 new michlen tires (1800.00) same as tires that come on truck witch only had 25000 miles. Return to dealer made them test drive and they said problem still tires and they need to do a 140 dollar road balance. And ask when do I wanted to make a appointment. The service advisors can do all this without checking the work already done by a mechanic that can’t even replace parts without forgetting some. And as far as getting it lube you have to tell them 3 time. I only asked twice because they do not grease unless told to. It’s my mistake to think they would lube truck when paying 225.00 for a lube and oil change without being told to grease grease certs. Quick lube did it for free. A/C on 2014 another long story.
Trade-in still in my name after 8 months - Unsatisfied customer
After positive dealings with a now-ex-employee, when I tried to purchase my car, about $2,000 in fees were tacked on, which I objected to and were taken off because my face does not have a filter. Then there was nothing offered for my trade-in, so I walked out, and the man I took with me (because few women get fair deals anyway) was asked what it would take. He told them $750, and it was honored. So, I left with a bad taste but not a terrible one. Then I had to call to have my plates mailed because there was a week to go on the temp plates. The salesperson should have mailed them, but he no longer worked there, and apparently mine and many other people's were sitting around waiting to claimed.
Now, about 8 months later, I've received a registration renewal for my trade-in, meaning that the title, which was mailed to the dealership to the attention of the finance gentleman who was very friendly and helped improve the experience, has not been transferred and no one is answering the phone. I'll keep calling and will hope that under new management these issues will be remedied,
Total Disatisfaction GM and dealer - edannhaus
Purchased A 2500 hd truck in April. First trip transmission cooler was plugged by Mayflies (love bugs) Complained to the Owner in Law (Darrel) and he promised the problem would be brought to a quick resolution with GM . Never heard from him again. November the steering became very loose . Took it to Laroche and they fixed the problem . Turns out GM had issued a bulletin to correct the problem. The dealer Laroche and General motors did not notify me or anyone of the safety issue.
Today my battery went dead and I charged the battery to take the truck into Laroche to save them from having to two me in. They tested the battery and said it was rechargeable so no replacement.
No more GM Chevrolet and laroche for me. I am so upset with them I am moving my church Membership to another congregation. (The Pews are full of Laroch people)
We were looking for a truck and looked all across Texas.... - Rarshaiz
We were looking for a truck and looked all across Texas. I found the truck we bought on ebay from this seller but i think they go by Gulf Coast Chevy now but the address is for this dealer off google maps. May be a name change.
Anyways after working through ebay with Todd Baker We did a surprise drop in since it was close to where we live. After taking a test drive we came back and made a deal that we just could not let go.
While we waited for finance to go through we decided to leave the dealer to go to Lake Jackson. I think they were worried we would not come back but they did not chase us down or try to keep us there (unlike some dealers i know). They called us while the wife and I were eating lunch and gave us the scoop and we told them done deal we will be back shortly.
Long story short this was the best and least hassle free buying experience we have had yet buying a vehicle. Everyone was was great to work with. If you check them out ask for Todd and tell him the Pennington's sent you.
On 12/7/08 My wifes Suburban broke down in Yoakum while... - jack3430
On 12/7/08 My wifes Suburban broke down in Yoakum while visiting her mother in the hospital, My brother-in-law had Cooper Cheverolet pick it up and was told the fuel pump was bad 400.00 to repair, they then called back and was told it need a wiring harness another 400.00 we told them to put the parts in a box and we would pick it up but they charged 190.00 to put it back together, it was brought back to my regular mechanic and repaired by replacing a 20.00 harness and labor totaling 192.00, he said there was nothing wrong with the fiel pump. I called a dealer in Houston and was told a new fuel pump comes with a wiring harness
We had received a flyer from Miller Starnes Chevrolet... - RDavisTX
We had received a flyer from Miller Starnes Chevrolet Buick in Rockdale. The back read Strike it rich $25,000 lottery game and urged me to scratch off the three lines to see if I had won the $25,000. The middle of the three scratchers matched all 5 numbers needed to win. No other prizes or conditions were on the page. I took our salesperson through the flyer step by step and asked if he thought it was misleading he agreed that it was misleading and his comment was that was just marketing designed to bring us in. After experiencing this disappointment and embarrassment he actually expected us to by a car that was repossessed from one of our neighbors after taking time off from work to be told we were tricked by a clearly deceptive marketing ploy that promised we had won $25,000 and a chance at winning a new car that delivered neither. Do not do any business with someone as sneaky and underhanded as these people.
Headache to say the least. - Brandy Riley
I am not one to leave a review, ever. After the entire process of trading a vehicle at this place, I had come to the conclusion, that car buying, and selling can leave the consumer very vulnerable. Long story short, I signed a contract on 10-10-16, and the finance guy didnt get the deal done untill days before Thanksgiving. I was told they were waiting on tax return documents to come back. After doing some research myself, that was in fact untrue. My trade-in had a loan at a local credit union, and the loan was showing to be late due to the pay off not being received for almost 2 months. I took a big hit on my credit score with the payment not being made. Then, the icing on the cake was getting a call from the finance manager (Mr Herrera) that I needed to come in and sign a new contract, because the original numbers wouldnt work with the bank, and this time around I needed 1000.00 down to complete the deal. I said no, I just want my trade back and want to be done with this place. He screamed at me over the phone that they didnt need my money, and went on and on about how they lost so much money on my deal. Which he then later called and apologized for his behavior on the phone, Im guessing someone heard him yelling at me. Once again, not my problem, I just wanted my truck back. I went back up there the following day after work, (mind you, its quite a drive) with my small children to resign the paperwork. Not one apology, not one sorry for the inconvenience, but rather a confused almost rude finance guy. He was in a hurry to get me out of there. Finally after almost 2 months of driving a vehicle I wasnt even sure that I owned, I was done with this place. I wasnt someone going in with a bad credit score, or needed a last resort, I was shopping here because I had heard great things, so I went. It was a nightmare, and did I mention I went through this process 9 months pregnant? Needless to say I wont recommend any of my clients/friends, I cant imagine anyone having to go through that nonsense. On the flip-side, Khan was super nice, and not his fault the finance department was horrible.
