An outstanding experience with Steve Curby & his team - Butterfry
I drove from out of state to visit my parents in Elgin. Before leaving to head back home, I wanted to bring my car in to Service and have one of their mechanics perform a checkup on my car, which was a new 2016 Stingray. After only having 1500 miles on the engine, I wanted to make sure everything was still intact & the fluid levels were where they were supposed to be. I called & spoke to Steve Curby about bringing it in. I brought it by the following day, where he got it in right away to have someone service it. Even though my request wasn't very complex, I still have to say that this was the best & the most accommodating experience I've ever had with any Chevrolet Service Department. They took care of my needs without any issue. I am a very satisfied customer!

When I requested an estimate they said they would first have to order a part. They did not give me a followup call. However, when I tried again I got good service. They set my expectations appropriately and explained that without replacing the whole door they could not eliminate a slight gap. However, the service was quick and what I paid seemed very reasonable. I don't even notice the wind noise they said I might have.

We went into this dealership to get an oil change. Upon arriving we stood in front of the customer service desk for almost 5 minutes not being acknowledged by the 2 gentlemen. Finally a lady approached and sat in her chair. My husband initiated the conversation and said can you help me she did reply yes. As my husband looked over the older gentleman in this department glared at him. So not a great first impression. Once our car was done she grabbed the paperwork from the mechanic. She then sat down and started texting before finishing our paperwork. Once she decided to do our paperwork we were sent over to the cashier. When we tried to pay we couldn't pay with cash unless we had the exact amount because the cash was in the bosses office locked up. She then was telling us how he had just had a new baby; and that is great however this isn't nothing more than an excuse after already having bad customer service. Im sure someone coyld have called him since most people have a cell phone to make this happen. It wasn't really early that we were there either. They open at 7 and we were trying to pay at 11am. Will not return to this location ever. Would drive an hour further for better customer service.
Rip-off pricing - carol
In the course of several other repairs, they also changed a light bulb over the license plate. They charged $50 labor to change the light bulb! No wonder my entire bill was over $950. They must have thought that I wouldn't notice. What a rip-off. Never again.

Purchased a new truck and the buying experience was great, quick, easy and fast. Then I took it in for the first "free" oil change and will never go back. I waited for 2 hours for a 1 hour commitment and left the dealership to get my work done elsewhere. I contacted them to try to work this out and that was joke, voice mail and receptionists and promises to call me back - never heard from them. Many friends really liked my truck and I sent a few referrals to them. Not anymore; stay away from this company. They are your best friend until they have your money; then they disappear. Even my email got a response of a canned letter stating they appreciated my comments and compliments; in response to anything but compliments. They only return calls, emails and voice mails before you buy; after you get nothing. My free oil change -not. My 6 month XM Radio, 4 months, my free wireless for 1 year; 3 months. What started as the best new car buying experience ended with the absolute worst in my life. I was/am highly disappointed.
