Unethical treatment - Tdespres
I am extremely disappointed with the business ethics and morals behind this company (Turner Automotive). My husband and I purchased a Ford truck from Turner a month ago. We wanted to go with a local dealership because we thought that it would be good business for the community and we would have a good experience because local companies seem to care more for the people in their community. Apparently that was not the case, because a week after our purchase we traveled out of state and it started to make very weird noises and rattle when we would accelerate from a stop. We brought it to a mechanic and he told us that the motor was going out and that it would need to be replaced. We contacted the dealership about this and they asked us to have the mechanic send them the diagnostics. We did this and it has now been almost 4 weeks that we DID NOT GET A REPLY from them, even though we have called and left messages multiple times. My husband finally called again today and was told that there was nothing that they would do for us. this motor is going to cost us around $6,000. Which is more than half of what we bought the truck for. We don’t have the money for this, and the dealership seems to think it’s not their problem. When we asked how they wouldn’t have known about this before they sold it to us, they said they don’t check the motor unless there is a code telling them to (pretty much only if the check engine light is blinking). I’m not sure what we are going to do now because there is no way we can afford to fix the truck. I am extremely disappointed with this business.
