I made a service appointment 12 days in advance to bring in my car for 90k maintenance. On the phone, the person who booked my appointment said, because the service would be so expensive, Mazda would provide me a rental car while my Mazda was being service. When I arrived on time for my service appointment, they had no record of my appointment! I pulled up their e-mail on my phone and showed that I had booked an appointment sufficiently in advance. Then it took more than 2 1/2 hours of waiting to get the rental car! The rental car company told me they needed my credit card (Mazda had not told me this) and that I would need to insure the rental car (Mazda had not told me this) and that I would have to fill up the rental car with gas (Mazda had not told me this). If I had this, I wold have just taken an Uber home from the dealership and not wasted 2 1/2 hours waiting for the rental car. I don't think anyone working at the Mazda dealership was older than 19 years old. They seemed like they had just been hired and didn't know anything. For more than $1200 of service, it was a very poor customer service experience.
